After all these years, you still think I am mispelling your name? It’s Matth, learn to say my name.
Come on Matthew.

Oh he's a character all rightAt least they would show character.

I see no Gooner felt the need to correct this? You all standing by 3 in 4?Whilst still winning 3 FA Cups in the last four years of his reign![]()
Or he could be hinting that he wanted to go last season which is why he never signed the contract until very late. Maybe he was begged to stay because they had no plans for a replacement?"Timing not my decision!"
Wenger admits he was as good as hoofed.

He was getting a lot of **** from supporters and press which to me suggests he was really not going to sing that contract and go out on a cup win.Possibly.
Hadn't thought of that.
Unlikely don't you think?
He's a bit of a limpet.

Yeah possibly.
I personally think he's so stubborn he would not go until pushed.
That's why its taken about 3 years for them to pull the trigger.
I'm sure this is how it went down. I said that Kroenke's use of the word "difficult" suggested he had been sacked. It was only Wenger, their board and a small minority of fans (Ty basically) that didn't realise his time had been up for some time now. Him holding on has only delayed the recovery, so he goes with my best wishes.Agreed.
I dont think they wanted to sack him, they were probably hoping that his advancing age and the pressure from fans would eventually cause him to step down of his own volition.
Guess they underestimated how much of a stubborn old goat Wenger can be, so eventually they had to sit him down and tell him he is "leaving"
Agreed.

There’s talk of Everton making a play for him, after the club’s snide survey of the fans revealed that fans want shot of him.
Would Wenger be a good fit for Everton?
