Might as well post in here as well! Been posting/lurking on RTG since I was about 15/16, I’m 28 now. Was Scott1CG on there also and got in to many a heated debates about Craig Gordon :emoticon-0102-bigsm. Most recently was ‘ Cult of Personality ‘ and copped a month long ban for telling someone to F*** off who said I should be banned for calling Parkinson a **** for not giving Neil a game when he’s been our best midfielder in pre season.

Anyway I’m a Hendon lad and moved over the water with our lass to Seaburn where she’s from.

Like the vibe of this place a lot already, very chilled other than the last few pages of the takeover thread ha!
Welcome aboard, mate <ok>

So tell us, what's your thoughts about Craig Gordon?

I’ve been lurking between Pure football and 606 for anything Sunderland related, decided to sign up as it appears to be more balanced here. It also has the added bonus that there hasn’t appeared to be any thread derailments as of yet. My names Adam, 28, massive lads fan and football manager addict.
24th November the new release isn't it? I always get that so I'll have a bit craic with you about it, at the time.

Welcome aboard <ok>

Alrite lads and lasses been lurking on here several months now and been on rtg for many years ( firstly as Tenerife_Safc and now gabble ratchet ) - Craghead lad living in Tenerife- done 76 away grounds mainly in 1980s with burnopfield lads and Stanley pirates ( total helped by our first venture into 3rd div )

We've probably travelled together mate.

I used to get picked up, 70's & 80's, at Trowell services or the Mansfield exit ...

.... some absolutely mad times.

Welcome to and @major92

Aye some cracking times those days - first away game was away to Oldham year or two after we won cup -1-1 draw our goal scored by billy hughes - few Man Utd in their end so a squad from our end ran over the pitch before kick off and went into paddock next to home end giving them stick all game - (remember Man U played mags same day 3-3 or 3-4 I think ) - anyway no looking back after my away game initiation - I was hooked big style

Been checking out this forum & RTG for a few years now, and decided to sign up here as you folks seem a lot more civil.
I live in Stoke as the name suggests, but I've been a MLF for 40 odd years as my folks are from Houghton. My old fella (now 90) used to watch at Roker 50's - 80's, then I started going home and away with the North West Branch. Great times including the Wigan mud slide, Man City away with 10,000 nutters etc. I have a young family now, so don't get to as many matches as I'd like, but still follow the lads 100%.
Anyway, happy to be aboard, hoping for more happy days in the near future

Welcome Mate. My dad was born and bred in Houghton as Well. Lived in Outram Street to be exact. Moved down South in 1939.. Enjoy the forum mate

My name is Adam - I'm 33 and live in Hertford in Hertfordshire. I support the lads as my mum is from Durham and a massive lads fan. My Dad being a Torquay fan didn't give me much choice. :D. Never lived north of Stevenage. Try to get to a few home games a year and as many away games as I can. Love being up there as it feels like home even if I've never lived there, which is odd.

I've got 2 daughters aged 5 and 3 and a rescue greyhound. Keen ultrarunner (hence profile photo) and cyclist, and I work as a Senior Manager for a management consultancy in London.

I'm @adamguest on twitter if anybody wants to follow me (although as you've just read I have nothing interesting to say).

Welcome Adam, are you in London Branch? Enjoy the forum mate.

Hello mate, I'll definitely know you (stanley pirates)

Evening all, i've been posting here a while now and only just noticed this thread! Been following Sunderland since the late 70's courtesy of my and his dad before him. Being from Felling/Gateshead originally I was always outnumbered when it came to football arguments but overall there's a good number of Sunderland supporters in that area or there was when I was living there. I'm living in DH9 now and pleased to see there are lots more of us here and things aren't edgy as they are in NE10.

As it's been said already, this place is moderated brilliantly and WUMs and anyone looking to argue don't last long unlike over the road. I have dual accounts and still post over the road but can honestly say i'm not one of the main players on there by any stretch of the imagination. I spend more time on SMB than Pure Football.

Pleased to be here and been made very welcome by all.

Alright no need to make a mountain out of it <laugh>

Alrighty everyone. Washy mackem been following SAFC for yonks. I once arranged our summer holiday around pre season tour of Devon. My wife was quite surprised when we got to Exeter at 2.30 on a Sat in time for a pint before kickoff. Had enough of currents owners, drove me to fall out of love with club. Stopped going in Jan 20, it was too stressful for me. Not long afterwards, everyone stopped going! :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Welcome mate, hope you enjoy it.

I remember Peter Daniel well but, sadly, mainly for a terrible shout I made in the Fulwell End one night match.

He made a mess of a chance and the whole end went quiet. I shouted out 'That was desperate Daniel' and they booed me <laugh>

Hello everyone.
Been on here for just over a year but hadn't noticed this thread until recently to introduce myself properly.
Joined to get a more balanced view rather than the extreme views on RTG.
Been supporting the lads since early 60s, initially from Bishop Middleham, Bishop Auckland then from Ferryhill (Martindale's where I was regularly picked-up on the M1 at the Loughborough roundabout.
My 3 sons have all been brought up right and have been season ticket holders at some point with the youngest still going home and away with the Trimdon lads.

Great pedigree mate, hits a few notes with me.
