My name is Adam - I'm 33 and live in Hertford in Hertfordshire. I support the lads as my mum is from Durham and a massive lads fan. My Dad being a Torquay fan didn't give me much choice. :D. Never lived north of Stevenage. Try to get to a few home games a year and as many away games as I can. Love being up there as it feels like home even if I've never lived there, which is odd.

I've got 2 daughters aged 5 and 3 and a rescue greyhound. Keen ultrarunner (hence profile photo) and cyclist, and I work as a Senior Manager for a management consultancy in London.

I'm @adamguest on twitter if anybody wants to follow me (although as you've just read I have nothing interesting to say).

I also plan on sticking around here for the foreseeable as I can see it being a better "vehicle" for communicating about Sunderland than twitter had been. And as mentioned (and not wanting to labour the point) - I don't have many people to talk about Sunderland with.

I’ve only been on this board a short while as getting a bit fed up of that other one. Born in Petersham Road Pennywell 1951. Left Sunlun in 1966 to spend 25 yrs in army and have never moved back to Sunlun. Live in Guisborough Cleveland now. Everything seems more civil on here compared to others

Welcome aboard mate. You're very welcome. My missus is from Guisborough!!

It's not always civil mind!!!

Ignore the "moderator" tag on my profile too. I am a fan who mods if I need to not a mod who follows the team! @Gordon Armstrong is the other mod and he's exactly the same. We're a friendly bunch on here mostly.

I live in the old police station. Lovely place. Thanks for the welcome

'Mum!'
We're going to have to work on you, aren't we!

I didn't mean a full life story <laugh>

As @Smug in Boots said, some new posters join and their very first post seems to pick a fault with the forum or be antagonistic.
Which tends to point towards them being wums, although not all I might add ;)

My comment of "introduction" was a slightly sarcastic statement to highlight this.

I joined last year when I discovered a link on rtg and a few other posters from their had joined.
Along with the old guard on here they seemed a canny bunch so I joined using the same avatar and username for clarity.

Although I'm hardly a prolific or interesting poster over there so nobody probably knew who the fook I was anyways <laugh>

But like you I live a long way from Sunderland so it's nice to keep up with things and hear the crack <cheers>

fekkers like an illegal alien ower here i have heard tell the mods have offered RTG money to take him back but the twat won't take the hint think the hint was too subtle for him..:emoticon-0141-whew::emoticon-0127-lipss:emoticon-0127-lipss:emoticon-0178-rock:

Been checking out this forum & RTG for a few years now, and decided to sign up here as you folks seem a lot more civil.
I live in Stoke as the name suggests, but I've been a MLF for 40 odd years as my folks are from Houghton. My old fella (now 90) used to watch at Roker 50's - 80's, then I started going home and away with the North West Branch. Great times including the Wigan mud slide, Man City away with 10,000 nutters etc. I have a young family now, so don't get to as many matches as I'd like, but still follow the lads 100%.
Anyway, happy to be aboard, hoping for more happy days in the near future
