A few have already come over and thought they could act themselves ...

... they weren't welcome and were quickly banned.

This board is calmer, or slower if you like, but that's because the football chat isn't swamped with drivel.

Evening All. Been following this site for a month now and enjoying the calmness in comparison with RTG. Pleased to be part of this board. Recognise lots of the characters who have come over. Thanks Smug and others for the takeover updates

Aye it's canny here, there's definitely a place for both. When I'm at work I like the fact I can post on SMB and there's enough people posting there to be able to have a bit of a conversation throughout the day. But then I find this place a lot easier to follow threads, was browsing the match day thread and obviously following the takeover one and you can keep up to date with them without having to wade through pages of, mostly, filler and in jokes ("herring" and the likes which I can't stand). You can also make a post on here and have a reasonable discussion, post anything on SMB and you just get the WUMs latching onto it, I must have one of the lowest threads to posts ratios on the board, almost never bother starting a conversation, easier to do that here
