In all honesty does it really matter, and I mean this generally not specifically to your post LoL. I could argue that Revie and his team of players were consistently at the top of their profession for a period of 10 years, but we were a struggling 2nd division team when Revie took over, so did his coaching skills and preparation hone those players into what they eventually became. The achievements and squads inherited by both Revie and Bielsa for the same period of time are very similar. Only time will tell if the club can continue to replicate and improve on what the club achieved in the mid 60's-70's.

For those of us who were able to watch all of even some of those games played in the Revie era, then we have some absolutely fantastic memories to grow even older with. For those who are watching today, they will also have some fantastic memories in 30/40 years time of the team that Bielsa coached, and subsequent managers improved on.

Trying to compare managers and teams from different era's is just a flight of fancy, the only way you will be able to compare will be based upon what the club are able to achieve over the next 5 to 10 years, and I think we should just enjoy ourselves.

Of course if Bielsa is still here in 10 years time, having won the Premier League 10 times, as well as a few domestic cups and European trophies, I may well be prepared to concede that the Revie era has been matched at last. :emoticon-0140-rofl:
And in no way did I mean that as any slight on the great Don and I apologise if that’s how you read it. Bielsa alas, does not tend to do long stays.
No lads, before you ask, Doc hasn't hacked my account

I didn't read it that way at all LoL, no apology needed, just quoted you, as yours was most recent post on the topic.

I guess I go for the simple options in these types of discussions, put your medals on the table and lets see who has the most and at present the club is on an equal footing to the 63-64 team,

Still lots of low hanging fruit ripe for the prem clubs to snap up, but they are way over priced and it may not happen for the players or the greedy clubs.

Josh King never been a prolific striker but thinks hes the dogs and sitting waiting for a WBA, Villa, Newcastle, West Ham type club to snap him up.

Todd Cantwell wants Leeds to come and get him and last season he was Norwich’s best player and he believed the paper talk about Liverpool coming for him. Sorry Todd your club are greedy.

Emiliano Buendia another Norwich success but way over priced and still sitting waiting to escape.

Said Benrhama a player Bielsa wanted until he posted his holiday video. Sorry mate you are over priced and dont have the personality that will fit with our level headed young men. Pity because you are a baller. Seems West Ham have bid £17m which is half of what your club wanted?

Morning all, rumours in the spanish press today about Radz possibly buying peter lims shares (83%) of Valencia.
