Uh, that's exactly not what I'm arguing..? I'm saying the fee outlaid wasn't far off and the fact he's taking longer to adapt is to his (or Walter's) detriment.

Genuinely why are we attributing a fee to how quickly a player should be adapting? A transfer fee is just what the two clubs have agreed upon.

The original point was that players this season were signed late so they need longer to adjust than players signed late last season. Our friend Walter called Belloumi "bargain basement" which is when fees came into it.

Bargain basement? Belloumi cost us almost as much as Philogene.

Philogene wasn't pl quality when he signed for us or a PL club would have signed him.

Funny how many are saying the players need more time to get up to speed this season, but last January we needed to sack the manager because they didn’t all immediately hit the ground running.

Philogene signed deadline day and he didn't need too long. Carvalho signed in January. Excuses.
When did the other forwards sign?
There are always deadline day signings andcoming into a more settled team is easier? Do you agree?
Delap signed 2nd July
So nearly two whole months before Bedia signed

Anyone who can’t see the difference there is deliberately choosing not to see it

Delap was a 20 year old kid Chazz.

I said after Norwich that conceding 56 shots at our goal in 3 games was too many. We were too open and I thought if Walter couldn’t see this then he shouldn’t be in charge.

In the last 3 games we have had 35 shots against us. He has responded and tightened us up. Our shots on goal have gone from 49 to 31 so there has been a trade off but you could argue out last 3 have been against better opposition (Top 2 and a team with a good home record).

I think we have deserved more than 2 points from our last 3 and in my eyes Walter is a better coach than I thought after the Norwich game.

He still deserves time but feel he needs some points on the board to keep some fans off his back.

We’re not demonstrably worse than under Rosenior with a much worse squad. The main difference being we’re more exposed from our own corners. The team seem to have the same togetherness as last season. Give the guy time.

No worse than under Rosenior? I’m seriously baffled this is how Rosenior’s time as manager will be remembered. You might not have liked his style, but he finished the season with our fourth ever highest points tally in the Championship. We didn’t finish as strongly as we started, sure, but our key striker was injured and we decided to sign an entirely new attack all at the same time. Even with a relatively poor finish, the only two managers to better last season’s points total are Steve Bruce and Phil Brown. This season under Walter will be just another season. Saying Rosenior had a poor season is nothing but entitled nonsense.
