In terms of attackers though he’s using players that have been here less than 3 weeks altogether and the last attack that started played their first game as a trio. People seem to think coaches are miracle workers and would be able to get them firing instantly. There's not been an overreaction at all.
Tim's been in post for 2.5 months now and had around 12 games in charge. I can't remember the last time we put in 12 consecutive performances as bad as this, but it's been woeful. We've not taken the lead in any of the games and haven't looked like winning either, to be frank, it's been pathetic.
There's plenty of talk about give him time, but you'd expect to be seeing shoots of optimisim/hope/promise by now and we haven't. Yes the recruitment situation didn't help but he's got to be getting more out of those already here. Most this board were desperate for Oscar to be recalled, only for him to be **** a few weeks later.
I’m not even convinced by Walter but people just have no clue about the complexities of the professional game and the enormous challenge Walter is facing due to recruitment. (Not aimed at you Shark).
I played with 2 ex pros the other day who have grown up playing with each other. The chemistry between the pair of them was ridiculous they would pass to each other off the sound of their voices, they’d know exactly where each other were just from muscle memory. I really don’t think people understand how long it can take for players to form chemistry playing with each other. There is only so much a coach can do, that being said, Walter’s tactics are suicidal at times and do need tweaks for us to see better returns
