Dont think anyone's saying he can't attack and defend just that last year he was pants and you can't argue against that. Might have been de to being in back 5 etc but fact remains he wasn't brilliant.

Glad ad he's doing well now, just a shame benteke isn't able to get on end of his deliveries.

A lot of people wrote him off and said he couldn't defend.

He wasn't brilliant last season but people wrote the young lad off.

I always liked Moreno thought he was better than most people gave him credit (same with Can and Sakho who have made their case this season).

That said Moreno's defending did let him down at times last season.

Individually I think most players have done well today. The sum of the parts isn't productive though.

Problem is we have no one who wants to run into the box. Origi is goal shy so he tends to avoid getting into the box and Lallana & Coutinho aren't type of players who get into the box. Can is mostly a DM and Milner is a wide midfielder, they aren't going to get in the box regularly either.. We had this problem last year but its even worse with the loss of Sterling. And another thing we lost with Sterling is width, our formation is so narrow at the moment and the full backs aren't doing enough or producing enough when they get into good positions.

Skrtel is another one I think gets more flak than he deserves. Not saying we shouldn't replace him with someone better but people point out all his flaws and never credit his hard work and all the times he saves us.

If Skrtel were scouse he would be a Kop favourite. :p

I don't see us improving until Klopp can get some new players in.
For now though, he must bring Benteke and Firmino on

So to sum up todays convo our entire team is unfairly under appreciated and are all actually brilliant.....

Or

The entire squad is ineffective dog poo....

<laugh>

Dortmund used to overload one side of the pitch which gave a huge amount of space for the full back on the opposite flank, allowing them to get forward easily. Their three forward would play narrow and close together. We did this against Spurs, but not seen much of it today.

Whilst Origi has struggled, he's getting no support from Coutinho or Lallana. Zero creativity.

True. But he needs to create his own to flourish in the current Liverpool squad. That's why Ings and Sturridge score goals and Origi and Benteke haven't so much. Our squad and formations require a hard working creative running forward.
