  1. So just over a year ago. surprised because Jimmy didn't stop moaning during the 2013-14 season about our defensive frailties (which we all knew we had but most didn't care #gungho) and how Brod wasn't the man to solve those issues.

I think we all said things we now regret during that season.

We all wanted him to be the real deal. A young Britirish manager with no history... What better way to make a comeback.

Lol you guys are hilarious. Havent watched any games lately but milner will always be milner. He wont ever be world class and he wont be the difference maker but hes probably a starter in this poor liverpool side. He should be a winger and told to stay on the wing to whip crosses into benteke.

I'm surprised by gerrez saying lallana warrants a place in the side because he is making no mistakes. I have to agree with jimmy that If thats how you are rating lallana you might as well give up now. At least chuck someone in who will take some risks

It's more the media labelling klopp the messiah rather than the fans I would say, most fans know he will need time to work and implement his ideas across to the players, some expected an instant impact (in results).

Personally I was expecting a gradual shift, imo he is doing what most top management does 1st which is sort the defence.

We have so many players out injured at the moment it's logical the start we've had with klopp tbh.

Absolutely - I praised him when he deserved it. Then he proved to be a fraud so was criticised.

Im critical during the match just because you always hope for better but im realistic otherwise. It wasnt going to turn around for quite a while yet.

Don't see the point in criticising players you think are average because their chance of improving is limited.

Milner is a utility player. He will continue to be used if Klopp thinks he is doing the job asked of him; until someone injured returns Or until we buy an improvement. Same goes with Lalana and Origi.

Coutinho has disappointed me last few games but I will accept begrudgingly the idea that he needed a better forward line in front of him. God help him if he doesnt improve when that happens though.

  9. There are two angles here; what we should be aspiring to have and the squad we currently have.

Lallana isn't the best player to have ever lived, he's not good enough for Liverpool and so needs improving on in time. However, the transfer window isn't open so we can do precisely ****all about that right now.

Right now, he is the best option we have. Who else can play? Coutinho and Milner have been playing, so the other options are Firmino or Ibe, neither of which have exactly set the world alight. On recent form, Milner and arguably Coutinho both deserve to be dropped before Lallana too.

Happy for us to chuck someone in and take a risk but others should fall first if considering current form.

I think people on here need to learn how to read what people actually put rather than coming up with their own interpretation <ok>

I don't think he finds intimidating but I don't think he's comfortable with it. I think he'd be much happier on the training ground <ok>

Find myself agreeing with the rest of your post, though <ok>

You really never saw Milner play his "bit part" for City did you. His link up with Silva and Zab was amazing and lead to many goals.
I know Coutinho is no Silva and Clyne not up to Zab's standard yet but that is not Milner's fault.
Go back and watch some of City's games from the last few years (it doesn't matter which, he played in most as a "squad" player) you may learn something about him.

You will not see any real improvement until around Christmas, the guy has only been with you 2 weeks and is probably still learning players names.
It takes time and games to work out who can do what and which system best fits the players at his disposal, he is a vey good manager and will have you back on track by the end of the season (if not sooner).

No realistic fans expected massive improvement straight away. We all knew would take time and all willing give him that time because we know where the squad is at the moment.

However, I think people are expecting him to have some sort of impact, at least making the players play like they care which towards the end of Rodgers reign it Didnt seem like it.

Quality performances might not be there just yet but having the right attitude will get the fans on side a lot quicker.
