A villa supporting friend has claimed that Villa now want Nigel Pearson to be their new manager. They want an up aqnd coming name that wont cost them lots in wages/comp or to sack should things go wrong. Do you think he would take it?

The bookies certainly don't think he;s in the running, they're offering odds on 50 potential candidates and NP's not one of them.

They've also now suspended all betting on McLeish, so they definitely think he's getting the job.

Percy I've refrained from saying this for a long time but.....

**** YOUUU!!!!!!!! And get a life you boring old fart

You, mate, are not ****ing right

There's a guy thinking a Villa fan would want NP to takeover at his club, and I'm the one who's not right?

Seriously, you lot are ****ing deluded. He's an average manager who'll never leave because he's got the easiest job in the world here.

Are you familiar with the phrase 'In my opinion'?

I take it you are referring to me. The vast majority of Villa fans I heard on phone-ins yesterday would rather have anyone than McLeish because (a) he's not very good as he just got Birmingham relegated; (b) his teams play poor football and (more importantly) (c) he's coming from Birmingham. So not least because of these I suspect it is wishful thinking on the part of Mike's Villa supporting mate.

"Wasting" and "breath" have just popped into my tiny mind as I read your reply to TWF'y

Surely they wouldn't want Pearson for reasons A and B? Especially B.

I just can't imagine any football fan thinking "I want Nigel Pearson to come here", he's a footballing nobody really.
