Can't see NP going to Villa. Not proven in the premier, therefore too bigger gamble for the boy Randy (FFS Who calls their kid Randy!!!!) ....Won't happen..... What is happening though is that Malky Mackay is leaving Watford to take the Cardiff job.....expect both Watford and Cardiff to struggle next season.
Better to be too organised than not organised at all, but we need a captain on the pitch to sort this out, it's not all the managers fault.
Away from home we've been superb, counter attacking. We haven't in my opinion had the players to get on the front foot at home. Particularly since Stewart got injured, Pearson is trying to remedy this by targetting players like Danns. NP has very muchhad his hands tied by players at the club that need moving on, the take over from Armageddon and limited funds in the transfer Market. To manage to having to deal with that and get a squad of loans/youngsters/freebies to the edge of the play offs is 'almost' a miracle. To have finished outside the relegation placeswould have been a major achievement. Nigel Pearson will go on to be the best manager we've ever had, there I said it.
Percival, you have similar views to myself and dj regarding negative tactics and certain other things. (But definitely NOT AP or Anthony Gardner, for the record) However you seem to lack the tact to make your points without provoking people. Another thing that seems to be winding people up is that even when something isn't about NP, you'll pop with a "Don't forget, I don't rate NP." sort of comment, as though you just have to. Nobody treats dj and I like **** as they do to you on here, probably because they accept that we disagree on some things, and agree on others, and the ones we disagree on, we agree to disagree and that's that! You need to let the NP thing go and talk about the content of the article, and every thread won't have to be a TWF slagging match. For the record, you don't bother me, but it bothers me that you bother everyone else.
In fairness the thread has NP in the title... However, I shall take your reasonable points on board. Thank you.
Well that was a boring 5 minutes of my life I won't get back catching up on this thread, I thought it was supposed to be about NP going to Villa, not Percival taking the opportunity to have a cheap shot at NP and then everyone calling him a cock. Again. Back on topic I find it very hard to believe that the Villa board even know who NP is, let alone that they're considering him for the job - not necessarily because he's not good enough, though I think that he lacks experience to manage in the prem at the moment, but because he's not high profile enough for a job like Villa.
Hang on a minute, is someone seriously suggesting that NP doesn't play a passing game? The same NP who insists we play out from the back, packed the midfield with guys who want to get on the ball and plays two midgets up front? You are having a laugh.
Yeah but we hardly play nice passing football do we? He might want them to, but it hardly shows because of our crap midfield. We'll probably find out this season what his actual philosophy is.
Percy, you'd be better off deleting your account and creating a new one, still make the same comments and people would barely notice. Before reading the comment, it seems people are seeing your name and already thinking 'I'm going to disagree with this no matter what'. I seem to be one of few that doesn't have a problem with you, I'd rather see ****s like doveston and 7708374873837 (whatever the **** he's called) banned than see you absent from our boards.
This. Although that guy whos name is just a load of numbers, the thing that annoys me about him is his hatred of TWF, so with your solution there'd only be doveston to worry about.
They don't. But everyone starts crying when TWF posts anything at all and one always suggests to OLM that he should be banned. Then he has to reel out his moderation policy and the whole thing becomes monotonous.
I believe he was outed,(his real name posted) i think i know by whom too. If im right,HIGH FIVE sir !
Interesting choice, you've chosen to make that comment implying I'm not a true fan to someone who's a season ticket holder despite living over 250 miles away from the KC and living, including paying a mortgage largely from student finance. I doubt there's anyone on here that commits a greater proportion of their free time and disposable income to following the club than I do. I do attend games elsewhere regularly as well though, but that's due to social and professional connections with fans and/or officials at various clubs, and yes I do enjoy that so you can rest easy about it. All of which reasoning is irrelevent, we were talking about Villa fans' opinions of managers, so the question was about whether neutrals would prefer to watch us or Blackpool last season based purely on the football (ie ignore that they were PL and we were Championship). How likely do you think it is that Villa fans en masse appreciate all that about our club? If they don't want McLeish as manager they're hardly likely to look at NP as an attractive alternative when they see our record last season, and at Leicester he wasn't a manager that jumped out as playing super attacking football was he? He won promotion from L1, as far as Villa fans are concerned that's nothing, and got them to the playoffs with a tight defence, scoring just 61 goals in 46 games. Forest with 65 weren't much better, but Cardiff with 73 and Blackpool with 82 made up the playoffs, and of course Newcastle 90 and WBA 89 were the other sides promoted with Blackpool.
