War as in singular?

The second one to recover the weapons of mass destruction
The ones that America sold to them in the first place, and Blair provided the evidence after bumping off the scientist that provided the "evidence"
And thereafter the continuing fallout

So what about the first little squabble?

I've seen some parts of the impeachement trial, it makes you realise the intent of the protestors, and how close they came to killing people.

The Capitol police officer, Eugene Goodman - that was the cop seen backing up the stairwell from the baying mob. What we never knew at the time was he set himself up as bait, to save the politicians.

His actions diverted the protestors, away from the door the politicians were hiding behind, and he led them into awaiting cops down another corrider. That's the sort of cop you want protecting you in a crisis, bravery at it's finest.

Not that I agree with the storming of the capitol building.

But there is a sense of "good on ya" for me.

Politicians are actual scum, for too long they get away with all kinds and we all just vote for a new **** to carry on the bollocks. And that usually calms us down enough.

As I say I'm not in agreement or disagreement with it, but I'm glad to see apathy towards government and what they do to the people is as thin as a skin of Rizla paper.

Thank **** for that at least.

Only the thing was, that they’d been completely manipulated by a politician who’d convinced them that he’d won an election that he lost by 7m actual votes. So he stirred them into a frenzy to attack the Capitol building for his own ends, he literally tried to subvert democracy and organise a coup.

That’s not people sticking it to the establishment and politicians. That’s people being used and lied to by a wanna be dictator.

Smart thinking too. It's not always about facing down a threat, sometimes you need to divert it before it becomes a problem.

It was the one event during the storming of the Capitol buidling that caught my attention. Now when I look back on it, you can see he was bait, but in the heat of the moment I hadn't noticed. Very clever what he did, bit risky, but it worked.

My point was more about people having the balls to go and actually do it. Bring the government to account.

fair enough in this case they may have been manipulated into attacking the state.

Yanks Got more balls than us anyways, we just accept everything the Govt tells us and we say Thankyou for fuking us over by voting for it all again every 4 years.

Like i said right or wrong I admire the concept.

Not sure about the Yanks have more balls. Merely they have weapons which we have no access to in the UK. I saw one of the stun weapons one of them was carrying, enough to bring an elephant down. Give me a gun mate, and I'll go sort Parliament out for you. <whistle>

Anyway, the entire trial is now pointless, as the Republicans made clear with the initial vote that only 6 of them have a spine and an ounce of integrity. They’ll get what they deserve when the bobble head likely stands again, when they’ve failed to do what was right and also ensure he couldn’t stand for any federal office again.

The Jiu Jitsu way - disarm your opponent through deception, directing his force to your purpose.

Tai Chi uses the same principles. All of that sweeping arm movement stuff is about allowing an opponent's energy to flow past you instead of meeting it head on <ok>

Weak as **** that.

Trump will milk it as a victory against the 'deep state'

And the GOP will have to put up with him again in 4 years time.

Actually I don't truly 'hate' anyone in Westminster at the moment, even the SNP are but mere irritants.

Only things I'd be interested in changing would be making Northern Ireland become part of the Republic and give Nicola her vote. The rest can carry on squabbling.
