Besiktas have come up with a novel idea of making their club a global brand: with a glossy video package and the hashtag ComeToBesiktas

Suffice to say their fans have had some..."interesting" takes on this

PSV were so confident that they'd signed Portimonense left back Lumor Agbenyenu on Deadline Day that they had a full-on media blitz planned, dispatching a team of photographers to take photos of him the moment he got off the plane before he was given a grand unveiling at the Philips Stadium.

Then they found out that he never got on the plane, and signed for Sporting instead.

Do only the team line-ups in the final get medals, or
is it like the PL where a certain amount of game time
qualifies you (Foyth played one group game against
APOEL) ??
Your comment seemed to imply that you didn't want him to get one! <laugh>

I've looked it up and apparently a winning club gets 40 medals to dish out, as do the runners up.
UEFA only considers a player a winner if he plays some minutes in the competition, though.
As such, Foyth would be considered a winner if we were to lift the trophy.

Only in your misogynist dinosaur mind. ;)

Ok, not so harsh then (he did help us secure
top slot in the group) .

Understandable, but I still don't get why we're picking three keepers.
Rules & Regs state all teams should have three keepers. Don't ask me why they came to this decision (although I suspect it's along the line of "Well all international squads have three keepers so...") but we can't cheat the system until Whiteman fulfills his HG criteria in two years time.

Mainz fans must be pretty annoyed: first they throw sweets and the referee and he merely picks them up to help himself, and then they get tonked 3-0

Well done that man, reminds me of the time Beckham got coins threw at him, he picked them up pretended to count them and put them in his pocket <laugh>
