For some reason I actually hate him more now. I just wonder if it is possible to be so dim and self-centred in any other walk of life than football?

I have never actually hated any player for leaving in the past. Not one. But Lallana and Lovren seem to think the appropriate way to say goodbye is to **** on your doorstep and run off giggling.

I'm in the same boat, I care little for him or anything he achieves.

I do like the part were he says "fans don't moan when a poor player leaves, so that's probably why they wanted me to stay" line tho. Nothing like having a little bit of a ego.

Sometimes I wish I could smash Lallana and Lovren in the legs with a baseball bat and this is one of those times. Hate the pair of them. Hopefully they'll collide in training and do themselves season ending injuries.

My dear old Dad always said to me that when you are in a hole tsp digging.
T**tbeard keeps talking and every time he does it makes his situation even worse than it was before...I am sure he isn't trying to wind us up but he damn well is!

Blimey, this thread doesn't show football fans in a good light at all. Fuxake, he's gone, get over it.

I can't get over it, because that's not the issue at all. He treated the club and the fans with complete contempt to get his move and he's making snide comments that one of our players should consider moving too. He can **** right off.

Well you're making yourself needlessly unhappy then. All that anger is pretty unhealthy, not to mention making you look rather silly. Just have a look at the league table, that should cheer you up.

I'm not. I'm angry now, but it will wear off, but I can't forgive or forget what he's done. And I will certainly boo him loudly when we play Liverpool at home.

So will I probably. But I won't be taking it that seriously, it's just pantomime.

And what's he really done that most players wouldn't do in a heartbeat? Doubled his wages, probably. He hasn't murdered anyone.

As said many times before, it isn't that twatbeard [TB] left, it was the manner of his leaving, that has irritated/annoyed/angered/enraged Saints fans. I consider myself pretty level headed [no really, I do], and the fact that he managed to extract some negative emotion from me just goes to show the effect he's had on more volatile supporters.

I take quite a bit of reference from Saints own response to his manner of leaving. They couldn't hide the fact that they clearly didn't like it. Lambert was one thing [and goodbye Rickie, thanks for the memories], but TB was different altogether. In contrast, Lovren's manner of leaving taps into a different emotion. With TB it is betrayal, but with Lovren it is far more superficial but condemning.

Put it this way. At the present time, I wouldn't want TB to fail too badly. He can have his highs and lows. He can be exhalted, but I won't be joining in with them. In Lovren's case, I hope he fails miserably and goes back to whatever hole he crawled out of, a disappointed player, with zero confidence, incapable of making a professional living out of the game because his form has dropped permanently. And having not learned the lesson either, so he doesn't find a way back.

ECHO QUOTE: "The unusual move to thank fans with an advert in the Southern Daily Echo was overshadowed by suggestions he refused to play for Saints again - accusations he describes as "completely false".

"I didn't say I'd never play for the club again," Lallana said. "Once I knew of Liverpool's interest, I asked the club if they could come to an agreement and that it would be my wish to leave and join Liverpool. I make no secret of that, I'm an ambitious person.

"I just felt at the age I was at in my career and with Mauricio (Pochettino) leaving as well, it was (the) right time for me to test myself. It was a great opportunity.

"It's sad and I am disappointed that certain fans feel like that, but I can kind of understand why. They love Southampton, they are Southampton fans."

I suggest that Lallana takes action against the Press that told us a pack of lies and poisoned our opinions against him, you cannot blame the fans for believing what they read, and he certainly made no attempt to deny it at the time.

I thought all the Liverpool rumours came out long before MP left..... so Lallana knew he was going. Both sneaky bastards.

Just a reminder of what he said in December 2013:

Lallana basically says life is perfect right now. He's still happy at Southampton and has never wanted to leave. He struggled with the captaincy and questioned himself. Jose, Kelvin and Rickie backed him and so did Mauricio. Says he spent a lot of time talking to Mauricio when he was struggling with injury and the stress of the captaincy.

Loves being at the club and has great respect for Mauricio and the work of Nicola Cortese. Says it's great to still be with the likes of Kelvin, Jose, Calum, Luke, James, Rickie and Guly, who were all here from the League One days. Says he appreciates how much pressure the likes of Dejan and Dani are under, being regular members of their national team squads. Wants more England caps and wants to stay at Southampton and achieve something here. Feels himself and the club have mirrored each other and grown in sync with one another.

He wants to have more children with his wife, and when they grow up he wants them to be proud of him, playing for Southampton in his 30s. He is targeting European competition and wants to make the England squad for the Denmark friendly in March before continuing his development.

The England call up was the pinnacle of his career so far, but he rates his greatest and proudest moments as being those spent with Arthur and his family. He has enjoyed the journey the club has been on and believes there is plenty more to come.

He won't do that for some reason.....

I look forward to Liverpool in February, especially if all 3 'L's play. Lambert the legend, Lovren the legionnaire and Lallana the liar. I'm sure all three will be welcomed appropriately.

Does anyone have a link to the video. It actually read as if the suggestion that Clyne might leave was something put to him as a question. A bit difficult for him to say no chance under the circumstances.
I just cant remain angry about him now. We got our £25 million and he has moved on. Booing him? No, I had the privilege of seeing him play. Rather like Oxo, I will have a passing interest in his career, but bitterness only hurts the one being bitter. Time to let it go, I feel.

As has been stated, it's mainly pantomime villain stuff. No need to let it go, it's quite fun having someone play that part. Less of the moralising chaps, if we want to put him on whatever the opposite of a pedestal is, just let us. If you don't want to join in, that's fine, but please don't stop us having our fun!

Imagine Peter Pan without Hook.
