Would allow Can freedom, plus Javier would be great for him to learn from too.
Id bring him back and frankly alonso too even now.

As great as Alonso was (or even is), I wouldn't bring him back for a Klopp team.
Hit and miss in a team set up by mclaren and his predecessors....thought he was quality at the euros. Agree on Kante....he didn't join a team with CL football so no excuses!

By all accounts from newkie fans, he turns up when the big games come and cameras rock up but when you need him he goes hiding.
Think Dahoud was the main CM target and we're willing to wait to get him next summer (very risky to wait!).
Trust me it is for the best if you just walk carefully away whilst gently whistlingI can remember being overly optimistic

as far as i can see i didn't even post on it as i had already ranted my opposition on one of the numerous other threads prior to signing and it had become obvious i was in the minority .You get the impression most posters were desperately trying to convince themselves that it would all turn out for the best despite their better judgement.

most said the same about Wijnaldum
Think most were forgiving that it was his first season and he started really well just dropped off 2nd half of season though.
With better players around him he'll do well.
He scored 11 goals playing with part timers ffs
