The agent can't stir up specific interest without some specific intent. Not that I think it'll happen, but it's a definite signal of where we're pitching. It needs a domino to tumble....
Tobes... with respect. We were linked to him too... he cane out and said he wanted to leave. Its all orchastrated by his camp. You need to stop believing every everton rumour mate.
New Sunderland manager David Moyes is set to battle his old club Everton for striker Christian Benteke, 25, with Liverpool setting his asking price at £30m. (Daily Mirror)
Everton for Benteke...? http://www.90min.com/posts/3560794-...acious-move-for-christian-benteke?a_aid=35560 Must be done truth in it like. Afterall... ...
Benteke is going to be a good buy for Everton because of their style of play. Tobes would agree with.
So if you were in his camp you'd randomly select Everton as the club you were going to fabricate a rumour around? OK mate x
You might as wellwell have said liverpool.. why select us either Hope is not a strategy. Plus benteke will only cost you 45 of chelseas money. Move fast or be behind palace as well as southampton and west ham in the table
Why not they've already tried number of the other teams in the Prem, Citeh, Arse, ManU, Us. Its almost like they're going down a list. Btw, it was back to Arsenal this morning in the papers, £50m. Everton going to blow that much on one player?
You don't need to smash the world records for transfer and agent fees just because a player is good. Good player, not a good buy. Even taking into account Man Utd's midfield being wrecked by the Ferguson era, and Jose needing to be the biggest spender in the league for him to be able to get it up, this deal is still
I'm liking the look of Pep's business so far. He's recently got in 2 very, very talented youngsters. He can coach them into world stars. They look far from finished in this window too.
No idea mate, we'll see what happens in the next month. All the indications are we intend to spend big, but landing the kind of level of player we're seemingly chasing isn't easy after 2 years of midtable under Martinez and no European football.
If he ends up being there for 10 years and has the kind of influence that say Viera did at Arsenal, then he might look a bargain at the end of it. However it is a massive outlay and therefore there's going to pressure on the lad to deliver and on Maureen for sanctioning it. I think he's a great addition for the PL though. p.s. I watched the United / Everton game last night, they didn't look great at all, but very early days. The CS on Sunday will be interesting.
It also isn't easy when you spend most of the window pretending to make plans Everton will probably just overpay for someone with nowhere else to go, mainly just to erase Niasse being your 2nd highest transfer and hasn't even got a shirt number
Would you be happy to outlay half the Lukaku money on Benteke @Tobes ? Being serious here. Benteke is a very good striker if used correctly. Whoever buys him will get a proven PL striker. I'm thinking about who's available right now, and unless you take a risk and find a gem abroad, Benteke might be worth it. I'm certain plenty of clubs would want him, and he'll go for 30mil easily.
3rd highest, and the fact he's not even been given a shirt speaks volumes about our level of ambition this season. That would have been unthinkable before, we'd have tried to extract some value from him. But now we're just going to bin him off after not even starting a competitive game under the new manager. As for 'pretending' to make plans, just lol. Let's see if you're still scoffing on Sept 1st mate.
