Its not that portion of the pitch we need to fix, Jan onwards we were one of the highest scorers in the league, our defence was ****e and the cover in front, that needs fixing and I certainly hope Klopp knows that too! LB to replace/challenge Moreno and a DM...
Agreed we have a pletora of options in the front 4 positions... not saying any are up to draxlers quality mind but... we do have the options. theres clear holes and i think everyone agree with what you have said there.... if klopp is willing to wait for dahoud or something fine but.... we need a player.
No chance we'd be in for him. Have to trust klopp and team know we are short at LB and potentially CM so just have to hope they aren't seeing something different from us. Unless ss they are Grujic as a starter right away which couls be possible and would leave us with Can Grujic Hendo Lucas and Wiji with Milner able to cover as well. Numbers are potentially there, just no real stand out quality. Potential in Can and Grujic, solid in Hendo and Lucas and a newbie in Wij
Lucas is lower down the pecking order, he'll be a "filla" for a couple of positions should we be short.. if he stay's, he'll most likely get a run out in the "cup" team. Grujic, agreed, potential there but he's more Box to Box not a player that will sit and hold, although, get a bit more meat on the bone he'll have the frame to be a monster in that position... Would like to see the lad bought into the side, gentle like, would start with Can, Hendo in the CM with a 3 of Coutinho, Firmino, Mane behind Sturridge.. We could fill the "3" with Lallana and Gini when needed and Origi or Ings when Sturridge gets injured! LB, Milner may "do a job" but I want a specialist in that position! CM, again, Hendo may do a job, but he's more Box to Box too, so again, want a specialist in that position..
the worry is nearly everyone on here said we had 2 prime requirements this window LB and controlling CM neither of which are sorted. Wijnaldum transfer confuses me decent player but can't see that he was what we needed and that £25m could have been spent more usefully. really must sign a LB but not sure any more transfers will be done until some are moved on i.e. Benteke Lucas and sometimes when i'm stoned i even wonder if there might be a club stupid enough to take Balotelli off our hands but then i come to my senses. PS got bored earlier and had a skim thru the Balotelli is signing thread

He wanted Gotze, couldn't get him, saw Gini as the next best option... He's got an eye for goal, good engine (when he can bothered to deploy it!), quick and powerful.. If Klopp can get him to perform more often than not, we've a player.. He's also pretty versatile, plays many positions.. BUT... having said all that, I'd rather we spent that money of a Kante type player!

I'd take Draxler over lallana. Hector definitely. Agree with others that we badly need a CM to play alongside Can....wish we'd stuck a cheeky bid in for sisoko before the euros.....not sure who's available in this role now.....wouldn't sell Lucas either as we will need cover. Sahko is a funny one, we lack quality CB's and he seems to fit Klopp's system well. He'd be tough to replace tbh....decent CB's are hard to find....i hope he sees sense and buckles down as I don't see the quality CB's out there atm.
