the real story is nobody has come in and the fool signed a new 5 year deal so if he wants out... ooops.

i'd agree we'd have to shift 2 players for draxler. lallana for sure, add in benteke as well. probably be wondering where the hell coutinho fits in on top of that.

klopp already seems torn between keeping ojo in house and loaning out which suggests chances will be at a premium here.
 
Its not that portion of the pitch we need to fix, Jan onwards we were one of the highest scorers in the league, our defence was ****e and the cover in front, that needs fixing and I certainly hope Klopp knows that too!
LB to replace/challenge Moreno and a DM...

Agreed we have a pletora of options in the front 4 positions... not saying any are up to draxlers quality mind but... we do have the options.

theres clear holes and i think everyone agree with what you have said there.... if klopp is willing to wait for dahoud or something fine but.... we need a player.
 
No chance we'd be in for him.

Have to trust klopp and team know we are short at LB and potentially CM so just have to hope they aren't seeing something different from us.

Unless ss they are Grujic as a starter right away which couls be possible and would leave us with Can Grujic Hendo Lucas and Wiji with Milner able to cover as well. Numbers are potentially there, just no real stand out quality. Potential in Can and Grujic, solid in Hendo and Lucas and a newbie in Wij
 
Lucas is lower down the pecking order, he'll be a "filla" for a couple of positions should we be short.. if he stay's, he'll most likely get a run out in the "cup" team.
Grujic, agreed, potential there but he's more Box to Box not a player that will sit and hold, although, get a bit more meat on the bone he'll have the frame to be a monster in that position...
Would like to see the lad bought into the side, gentle like, would start with Can, Hendo in the CM with a 3 of Coutinho, Firmino, Mane behind Sturridge..
We could fill the "3" with Lallana and Gini when needed and Origi or Ings when Sturridge gets injured!

LB, Milner may "do a job" but I want a specialist in that position!
CM, again, Hendo may do a job, but he's more Box to Box too, so again, want a specialist in that position..

LB and controlling CM neither of which are sorted.
Wijnaldum transfer confuses me decent player but can't see that he was what we needed and that £25m could have been spent more usefully.
really must sign a LB but not sure any more transfers will be done until some are moved on i.e. Benteke Lucas and sometimes when i'm stoned i even wonder if there might be a club stupid enough to take Balotelli off our hands but then i come to my senses.

PS got bored earlier and had a skim thru the Balotelli is signing thread <yikes>

He wanted Gotze, couldn't get him, saw Gini as the next best option...
He's got an eye for goal, good engine (when he can bothered to deploy it!), quick and powerful..
If Klopp can get him to perform more often than not, we've a player..
He's also pretty versatile, plays many positions..
BUT... having said all that, I'd rather we spent that money of a Kante type player!

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli is no longer wanted by Italian side Pescara.

The Reds are hopeful of offloading Balotelli before the season starts, but they will have to look elsewhere for suitors after the newly-promoted Serie A side ended their interest in the troublesome striker.

Pescara’s club president Daniele Sebastiani told Sport Mediaset: "I know that his is the name that would get the most attention but Mario is a great player and I think that the last thing he would do would be to come and play at Pescara or Crotone.

"We don't need to buy figurines just to make somebody happy. We're working behind the scenes on finding players with the right profile for Pescara.

“We're running our own transfer market and if we want to do anything, we need to be patient."

Klopp said he wasn't interested in Henri Ryan because he doesn't want to work with players he's already worked with... suggests to me that he didn't want Goetze either.
 
City sign Gabriel Jesus for £27m. Forward/Winger from Brazil, 19 years old. The "next Neymar" apparently.

I'd take Draxler over lallana. Hector definitely. Agree with others that we badly need a CM to play alongside Can....wish we'd stuck a cheeky bid in for sisoko before the euros.....not sure who's available in this role now.....wouldn't sell Lucas either as we will need cover.

Sahko is a funny one, we lack quality CB's and he seems to fit Klopp's system well. He'd be tough to replace tbh....decent CB's are hard to find....i hope he sees sense and buckles down as I don't see the quality CB's out there atm.
 
Would anyone take Mascherano back if he was available as a cheap option?

No thanks to sissoko. More hit and miss than Cout! Should have thrown £30m to Leicester and seen what Kante wanted in wages.
