This is comedy time though. Romano is getting Berger to retweet his messages as his own! Tbf, Chelsea have got their **** together over all this, and we're just babes in the wood. Client journalism at its best (worst).

Edit - 127 Euros is less than Liverpool's bid. :emoticon-0145-shake

If you had asked me who did that before you posted it i would have said Pussycat. age is getting to me :(

Mississippi. No 1 in 1976. I honestly knew that without looking it up. I had awards for music quizzes back in the 80s and 90s. Don't keep up anymore - people use phones for quizzes now, and I'm too slow for the speed quizzes.

You ever heard Toni Wille's version of Desperado?
Well worth a listen.

He's a human bieng not an item at an auction. His club were willing to accept the money you offered but he wasn't willing to make the move so you are out of it.

His camp told Liverpool he was willing, which is why the bid was made. The bid then met Brightons valuation of the player and was accepted. Not sure why you keep banging on about him not being an item in an auction. He may have has second thoughts, Gerrard springs to mind, but it doesn’t appear that either Liverpool or Brighton have treated him in the way you are try to portray it.

God, I hope you're wrong. This whole episode is humiliating enough without having our record transfer fee player with us only because his dream move fell through. I think Liverpool are only hanging on in a mixture of forlorn hopelessness and twisted spite. And now we've lost Lavia too. Just cannot believe we put a bid in of that size without checking the player and his agents out. Amateur hour.

I can only go by what is being reported, but his camp gave Liverpool the nod that he would be prepared to join and Liverpool reacted accordingly. Isn’t this how most transfers happen?

I have said it just once, in reply to Jimmy who stated you "won the auction" <doh>

Link please, this could make a big difference.

I die a thousand deaths agreeing with Diego, but much as I nod towards your citing of Romano's record there is one simple fact - somebody has been feeding not just him but Sky Sports as well. And just as pointedly, somebody has not denied once that Caceido has rejected a move to Liverpool. Please just make it stop now and walk away - Liverpool are embarrassing themselves just to make Chelsea bid higher, and now we've even lost Lavia - a bigger tragedy than losing Caceido IMO) in a pathetic display of puppy dog begging. God, what a day.
I think you might be being a little over-dramatic.

You made the accusation a couple of times. I picked up on the reply to Jimmy and commented. You need to put the beer down, it’s making you forgetful.
One of us should.
Any links to the players camp saying all good to go?
Any idea why he isn't with you now.

It was widely reported that he was on an helicopter ready for the flight to Liverpool, when something changed. Maybe he slipped his handcuffs <doh>
Not sure why he would be with me, I don’t personally know the fella, so that probably rules that one out and I’m pretty sure he’s not interested in coming to Charlton.

Sorry Diego, I should have realised you take everything literally especially after a few beers, so I should have dumbed down my response so you could understand <doh>
Let me try again. It was widely reported that travel to Liverpool had been arranged for Friday morning (several reports including SKY mentioned helicopter travel) which was never taken and the player remained in the south. This was after a fee was accepted by Brighton. Again, from only reading the reports that pretty much every media outlet were showing, it said the player was willing to initially travel to Liverpool, but something changed and it’s being widely reported he now seems only to want Chelsea.
As an intrigued bystander who followed the story during the day, I’m not privy to the finer details, but it doesn’t appear that at any time he was being forced to do anything against his will, which is where this started after you made several comments to how you think he’s been treated <cheers>

Join the gang without understanding how you (think I think) he was treated. My comment was a reply to Jimmy which was obvious by the fact it was a direct quote reply in which he claimed Liverpool had "won the auction" as if the player was some kind of possession.

I'm unsure on all the furor over this transfer, nobodies got a clue what's going, yet everyone is suggesting their own narrative based on a few tweets as if they where gospel.

My view.

We've bid, its excepted.
Caicedo really doesn't give two ****s who he plays for. He will pull on the shirt of whoever pays him the most.

His agent definitely wants as big a cut as possible, which suggests Chelsea have him in their pocket.

If we told him we'd pay him a million a week, and his agent could have cut, he'd run up the motorway with his agent on his back.
