Think you’re the only one that feels humiliated, and that’s probably cos you feel like it’s another stick to beat fsg with. Heaven forbid they actually made a bid for a player, need to find something negative to use against them
He’ll stay at brighton. just like he did last January when he went got sent home for a week after arsenal kept coming in for him. By most accounts he’s a lovely kid, but Brighton know he’s being badly advised so I can’t see them holding this against him and more so against his greedy agent.
As De Zerbi has stated ‘I’ve already forgotten about Moises Caceido’. As Brighton have gone through this bidding war that Liverpool won and agreed a deal in principle, and we don’t withdraw our bid, are the Brighton management the types who would renege on this after all the deadline for offers business just to get even more from Chelsea? Brighton, if Chelsea do come back with an even higher offer, might just say, sorry, you had your chance but no. The board at Brighton, and I’m sure I’ll be proven wrong might actually have some integrity.
I only read anything Romano says on the Spud board because they are obsessed by him seriously, all the main media have the same story so must have come from somewhere. If he was happy to come to you and Brighton have accepet a very good offer why has the deal stalled?
The issue is, with the way De Zerbi was taking about Moises earlier, there is little chance of him staying at Brighton. He would look a total mug going back in to their dressing room. Likewise, as Roy said, Liverpool would look like mugs if their record signing is there only because his preferred team didnt get their bid accepted and they will get bantzed by other fans for a bit. BUT do the Liverpool brass care about that? I doubt it. He is seen as a commodity, so I dont think they will give a ****, as long as they get the player they want. And with the fans too, yeah they will give him some **** at first, but after a couple of months, and a couple of goals, they wont give a **** either. Most fans are fickle. Fact is, Chelsea are banking on Caicedo refusing outright to go to Liverpool and therefore Brighton will be forced to accept our lowball offer, which is a ******ed tactic, because a) Brighton can just keep him if they really wanted. Yeah he would be persona non grata and his value would drop, but Brighton got him for what £7m? Even if they sell him next summer for £70m they have still made a massive profit. and b) doing business like this makes Chelsea look like ****ing clowns. We went through this **** with Jules Kounde last season and it backfired tremendously, We need to stump up the cash or move on and look elsewhere.
Integrity? With venture capitalists? When it comes to money? What Sport have you been watching for the last 15 years?
This seems right. And I would assume that he would take Liverpool over Brighton, if only because I imagine we'd offer more wages than Brighton. And he'll be willing to leave us as soon as Real or Barcelona offer even more wages.
Have I missed something where caicedo has come out and said he doesn’t want to go to lfc? Im not sure why everyone is suddenly taking a reported comment by a a journalist who Brighton fans will tell you seems to have an agenda against them, as gospel. Until Caicedo actually confirms he doesn’t want to go to lfc himself, then take it with a punch of salt. If he’s told lfc he doesn’t want to come, then fair enough. Klopp won’t want him and the club will walk away, but probably do it quietly informing Brighton hierarchy so chelsea don’t think they can low ball offer
I die a thousand deaths agreeing with Diego, but much as I nod towards your citing of Romano's record there is one simple fact - somebody has been feeding not just him but Sky Sports as well. And just as pointedly, somebody has not denied once that Caceido has rejected a move to Liverpool. Please just make it stop now and walk away - Liverpool are embarrassing themselves just to make Chelsea bid higher, and now we've even lost Lavia - a bigger tragedy than losing Caceido IMO) in a pathetic display of puppy dog begging. God, what a day.
That’s the feeling amongst Brighton fans. The board have good relationship with lfc compared to chelsea. Obviously fans don’t know everything, but that’s generally feeling. They get feeling bloom will tell chelse missd your chance and only open it up against if we walk away and then will give chelsea chance to match it
exactly. there is absolutely no way we bid for someone who categorically says they don’t want to join us. Klopp has been adamant on that from day one. And we never bid, let alone for a world record fee, on someone who has not given us some assurances they are willing to join us. This is a classic case where some people read that caicedo prefers to join cfc but think that means he hates LFC and would never join them
Exactly, all this boils down to whether Caicedo wants just Chelsea, or just sees them as his preferred option. He really needs to tell Brighton one way or another.
At this point the only thing that matters is if the player will not come to you or just "prefers" chelsea. If he refuses to come to you offers and agreements between clubs mean sweet FA, if Chesea are just his preference but not only choice then the ball is in their court to match or better your offer.
Negotiations for personal terms? Or just because he (or his agents) would prefer Chelsea but Liverpool is still not bad?
Ok what mainstream media? Send us some links please. Maybe because waiting to see if chelsea match the bid? If you had 2 job offers, would you turn one down before you got the contract for the other? No, you’d wait for all the offers to be made and then make a decision. If that second offer for your fav job doesn’t come around, doesn’t mean you won’t accept the first. If you bid on 2 houses and were waiting and had a fav and 2nd choice and your fav was turned down. Would you not go through with second one?
Actually I just thought.....maybe he has told them. Even if he did Brighton arent going to make that public, because if Liverpool pull out that puts them at a disadvantage in their negotiations with Chelsea. My feeling is though, that if he WAS willing to go to Liverpool AT ALL, why wouldnt he have gone and had the medical and agreed terms so it was all ready to go if Chelsea pulled out? Gah this is ****ing with my head
