Meh, If the deal falls through it falls through. Its not like he's a player we really need. At 29 he's hardly going to have a long term impact for us.
This is one time I feel its right to only pay what we're perpared to pay.

De Bruyne is 29 also. Would you say no to him for long term impact if he was made available tomorrow?

Its about price.
No problem with Thiago coming, but for the right price and age does factor into that. 3 or 4 years at best with no resale value or someone else for 5 to 10+ years with a high resale value.
If you buy the former it better be at good price cause going to get less off them (on and off the pitch) in the long term.

I would also add, if we had mega rich owners like Citeh who threw money at players, I wouldn't be bothered by price. But FSG have shown that fees are hughly important and not to over pay for someone.
