Meh, If the deal falls through it falls through. Its not like he's a player we really need. At 29 he's hardly going to have a long term impact for us.
This is one time I feel its right to only pay what we're perpared to pay.

 

Well we don't really have any creative midfielders and I'd love to get him, 30m does sound a lot considering he'd be free next season but he might have been sold by then and on the grand scheme of transfer costs 30m aint much for a class player like him.We'd still get a few seasons out of him,he could become our Pirlo.

 

Milner was 29 when he signed for us five years ago, albeit for free and not 30m. That's still a reasonably long-term impact though.

Don't worry, Virgil isn't the one to be concerned about, it's Gini who hasn't signed a new contract yet. I don't think either of them will leave this summer though

Yes I agree. I don't want to lose him at all, he's integral to the feel good factor at the club but if he wants to leave on a free next year then good luck to him - not Barcelona

 

Thiago is coming in to replace Gini anyway
