Meh, If the deal falls through it falls through. Its not like he's a player we really need. At 29 he's hardly going to have a long term impact for us.
This is one time I feel its right to only pay what we're perpared to pay.
Well we don't really have any creative midfielders and I'd love to get him, 30m does sound a lot considering he'd be free next season but he might have been sold by then and on the grand scheme of transfer costs 30m aint much for a class player like him.We'd still get a few seasons out of him,he could become our Pirlo.
Milner was 29 when he signed for us five years ago, albeit for free and not 30m. That's still a reasonably long-term impact though.
Since when can Barca managers tell Liverpool players what to do. Koeman has history in this area. Publicly advising other club’s players is not on.

Don't worry, Virgil isn't the one to be concerned about, it's Gini who hasn't signed a new contract yet. I don't think either of them will leave this summer though
