Liverpool appear to be playing with fire with Thiago deal https://tbrfootball.com/liverpool-appear-to-be-playing-with-fire-with-thiago-deal/
Meh, If the deal falls through it falls through. Its not like he's a player we really need. At 29 he's hardly going to have a long term impact for us. This is one time I feel its right to only pay what we're perpared to pay.
Well we don't really have any creative midfielders and I'd love to get him, 30m does sound a lot considering he'd be free next season but he might have been sold by then and on the grand scheme of transfer costs 30m aint much for a class player like him. We'd still get a few seasons out of him,he could become our Pirlo.
Milner was 29 when he signed for us five years ago, albeit for free and not 30m. That's still a reasonably long-term impact though.
Season starts in 3 weeks and we have the crappy shield game with Arsenal first. Not seen much talk of shipping out the inevitable, like Wilson, Grujic and so on.
Since when can Barca managers tell Liverpool players what to do. Koeman has history in this area. Publicly advising other club’s players is not on.
Virgil will have a lot of respect for Koeman How long is Virg’s contract got left on it ? If they come with a ridiculous offer he will go However can’t see how Barca can afford him atm But just like Ford - fully expect this to happen We saw with Suarez and Virg from Southampton how this plays out Starting to worry New season must be imminent...
Don't worry, Virgil isn't the one to be concerned about, it's Gini who hasn't signed a new contract yet. I don't think either of them will leave this summer though
If Wijnaldum doesn't sign and Barcelona get him on a free at 30 hoping to rebuild their squad around him then good luck
Yes I agree. I don't want to lose him at all, he's integral to the feel good factor at the club but if he wants to leave on a free next year then good luck to him - not Barcelona
