Spot on.The thing is we haven't been a destination club for quite some time, therefore when a gem appears like Coutinho, we're not 'big enough' to hold onto them. Ironically, if he stayed we have more chance of becoming that club. I really hope he stays.
yep like Southampton we are to an extent a stepping stone in a players career it is just we are a higher up in the food chain. The thing is we haven't been a destination club for quite some time, therefore when a gem appears like Coutinho, we're not 'big enough' to hold onto them. Is that what passes for putting in a transfer request nowadays?
In all honesty how many players wouldn't want a move to Barcelona. They waited a year for Suarez, would that happen in Coutinho's case, not so sure. He's got to be thinking the same thing, 'will they still want me in a year?' Shame if he goes as Klopp's starting to get things together. But .... he is replaceable. Suarez wasn't![]()
Steady on. I wouldn't go that faryep like Southampton we are to an extent a stepping stone in a players career it is just we are a higher up in the food chain.

I doubt it. I think Klopp gets final say.I reckon the player is probably a good egg, and I don't think he'll go on strike, whether he stays or not will come down to your Shermans.
Moneyball lol.

After he's probably player at the tournament at the World Cup they'll still want him
Will Coutinho still want them if they spend another year behind Real and a repeat of last year's CL campaign which was a total disgrace

Not the same scenario, 2 years and 1 year left on the contracts of Rom and Ross. We had no choice with either as they refused new contracts, and Ross is still there btw.Just like whether your best players stay comes down to Moshi... oh, they've all gone

Coutinho has 5 and half years on his deal.
I think the difference is Everton are a selling club, we're not. They seem to sell willingly for big money to finance a few more players because the owner doesn't seem to want to put his hand in his pocket. We sell reluctantly because the lure of Barcelona is too much to resist.Just like whether your best players stay comes down to Moshi... oh, they've all gone
It looked it a month ago, but the Neymar deal has suddenly set a new bar. It's mental really.Has to be said, even though you sold Lukaku to a rival, £90m given the length of his contract is ****ing incredible business.
