You really need to read the news more. 200 Christians, including children and the elderly have just been killed in Nigeria. It was a targeted attack.
According to the latest report (House of Commons Library, March 2025) "1 in 7 Christians worldwide live in situations with at least high levels of persecution and discrimination. In 2024, 4,476 Christians were killed for faith related reasons.
Historically, Christians have been the most persecuted group with an estimated 70,000,000 being killed worldwide. Two thirds of that number being in the last 100 years alone.
If you leave history aside, you can still read stories of current Christian persecution including the example above but add to that the people who've been arrested for silently praying in their head. The locations could be considered controversial but each of the arrests were on days when the streets were empty. Thought crimes?
I'm really not wanting to take this discussion any further because I don't see the point in creating division.
I hope we don't sign Guehi because I don't like him, in the same way I don't like Fernandes and Gabriel. Nothing to do with armbands or aspects of their personal lives just based on how their personalities come across on the pitch.
