Seems a lot of pushback on Guehi online due to controversy that came about with the rainbow armband a year or so ago and his views on homosexuality.
I've seen that but I've yet to read or hear him explain his views on homosexuality. He wore the armband and added a message. I don't see the big deal.
I think it’s more what his dad said about it - ‘he was just saying, you gave me the armband, as a Christian I don’t believe in your cause’ and the fact Guehi never came out to disrepute those comments instead just beating around the bush saying his I love Jesus was about inclusivity.
I still don't see the problem. If it was somehow the other way round and players were told to wear an armband with a cross on in support of a Christian cause and a player refused to wear it or wrote some kind of message across it, I wouldn't have a problem with that either.
Yes it is. Its literally not affected Chelsea in any way but positively as it got maresca the tighter squad he needed. It works in Italy all the time. We cannot be soft.
What do we think Nunez is worth? It's hard to assess because of the season he's just had. Apparently if Napoli are serious in their pursuit, it's likely to be less, possibly much less, than €50m because they've only ever paid more than that once.
The thing with swap deals and buy back clauses, have either of those things ever happened? If he has no suitors, I think Nunez could re-find himself with Wirtz playing alongside.
Darwin Nunez is claimed to have now given Napoli the “green light” to push forward with talks over a transfer from Liverpool, who will be seeking a big fee. Darwin Nunez gives "green light" for Napoli transfer during Liverpool talks - Liverpool FC - This Is Anfield
Slot doesn't want him, it's thst simple. If the napoli stuff were real then there's and obvious deal to be made. If the saudi stuff is real then the fee should be 70mil (duran money) If atletico is real they will try it on
Reasons for rejection of contract by Konate. ‘Konate’s contract talks were delayed by Liverpool’s focus on negotiating with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk last season, with both signing new two-year deals in April before re-signing the Dutchman’s defensive partner became the club’s priority. ‘The 26-year-old is understood to be disappointed by the structure of Liverpool’s offer, with his representatives believed to be pushing for a higher basic wage after the offer was heavily based on meeting certain performance targets.’ More centre-back incomings and outgoings should be expected this summer, as Konate’s situation will not force a late U-turn on Quansah’s future after he reached an agreement to join Bayer Leverkusen. It has been suggested that Quansah’s imminent exit, which has been delayed for one reason, could lead to Liverpool signing Marc Guehi.
If he's really like that... I hope we miss out on him. No matter how good he is, one player is all it takes to ruin the harmony in the dressing room.
Phillips finally got a perm move away off to WBA. Did a job for us when needed but really should have moved on few years ago.
Religion and ideologies are both belief systems. Nobody should be forced to respect a religion and nobody should be forced to respect an ideology.
