no he wuldn't cos you make assumptions.

He'd be i nthe good category where he was with us in 2007 and would still be today cos the guy would talk into most sides like southampton or everton etc.

I never said he was average you accused me of going to say he would be.

At 33 he's not a long term player but he's an option.




however the link is tenous as arbeloa has no links to us bar playing under benetiz here a long time ago.

Haha if I'm honest, no I haven't! But I just see the words 'Arbeloa' and 'Flannagan' and I see red!

But I reiterate, some see Flanno as some unspectacular defender like Arbeloa. There is a massive difference between the two.

the sooner lfc fans see that we are actually top 6 at best (and so are spurs) the sooner we might fix it,

It is a LONG TERM project to get to to p4 now. theres too much money in the top 4 hands to compete with. Even arsneal... thats why 54k work is not enough for us at anfield and 58k is not enough either. FSG have set us up and our own entity, they lumped in cash at the start to balance books and no expec tus to do that on our own.

no sugar daddy here with 1bil interest free loan that will never be paid back... ours is prob only 150mil <laugh>
 
under dalglish? sure he was.

he worked hard for his chance in fairness... not one coach anywhere even wanted to loan him

Very harsh. But if we want to get back to the level we want to be, we have to stop bigging up these types of players to a level they clearly aren't at - same applies to Hendo, Milner and Sturridge to some extent. Time to be ruthless.

And to be fair, he wasn't the worst defender in the team.

But he was the most dribbled past defender in the league, no pace, can't win aerial battles, poor positioning.

As said, it's been done to death. Let's leave it at that. <ok>

Lol that transfer list makes me laugh. Admittedly i haven't seen kovacic play but i'm guessing he's hardly been pulling up any trees for a struggling inter side. Cheryshev i've never heard of could be a dark horse. Adam Bogdan to replace Mignolet? :D
 
Linked with RB's, GK's, CM's, AM's and CF's,

Shame we're not looking at strengthening 2 crucial areas - RCB and DM.

I maintain, get a RCB in, you can then move Can into CM. You effectively strengthen 2 areas with just 1 signing.

Judging by the links with Ings, Milner and now Bogdan, it just smacks of short termism and doing things on the 'cheap'.

Quite worrying IMO.

Kovacic is a wonderful talent. Struggled this year under Mancini and finds himself in a similar position to Coutinho when he was at Inter.

For £15m, he would be a steal.

Bogdan replaces jones obviously.. i've not bothered put the crap about casillas as we will be linked with every real reject now rafa is in charge there

We looked at Kono again recently, but for some reason, failed to make an approach to him or his agent regarding a move. We were keen to sign him last summer for, what, 15mill or so? but when he's on a free we don't even speak to his agent.

Doesn't make much sense. Stoke will grab themselves a bargain there.

If we want to be at that level (fighting for league title) we need players good enough... Funnily enough last year we had them <whistle>

This is the thing - we didn't! I refuse to let the defence or midfield take any credit for last season. It was the most imbalanced side you're likely to see on a football pitch. Everyone bar SAS, Coutinho, Sterling and Hendo (at times) do not deserve credit.
