Just think of all the funny to come once he gets sack from us and Saints appoint him, he'll spend the first two or three years buying them all back again.

What would he do to our defence

Lots of attacking options too.I meant for your defence![]()

Not sure we will play 3 at the back. That was a temporary solution to try and stop conceding more goals by adding another defender in the mix. Once figured out, we struggled and went back to 4.
Also, Moreno is not a wing back. Clyne is flexible to play full back or wing back which is good.
Finally on Benteke - I cannot see how it would work. We have a potentially world class player in Coutinho - we should be building around him and his strengths. Playing him behind a striker who's main strength is in the air and rarely runs of the last man, we're effectively stifling Coutinho.
I disagree. Much as I rate Coutinho, he isn't good enough or reliable enough to warrant spending millions to build a team just around him. Only players of Suarez' ability get that treatment, and even then it's a risky strategy that means when the player is injured (or leaves) we're back to square 1 with a team that doesn't work. We need to build a team in which all the players fit together, not are just designed to get the best out of one player.
You still need that focal point. There's no point building a team which stifles your best players - our best players are Sterling and Coutinho who thrive on movement and dynamism.
Agree that we can't rely on just one person but a good manager is one who creates a system which suits his players. Not impose a system on them. By bringing in Benteke, we're effectively changing our style and imposing a style on our best player attacking player, Coutinho.
That's what happens when you sign the dross, but let them keep players like Clyne, Wanywama and Morgan.
All joking aside, are some of you skeptical about signing from us after the lack of success of last years £50m outlay?

It's not funny apparently, see the BBC Salford thread for clarification.
You have to see the funny side....surely??
I thought this thread was about Liverpool's new £20million centre half.
