<laugh> Don't we have two of the four most expensive premier league sales? And yet that statement still feels so true...

I thought were talking Johnson? If you want Wisdom and Manquillo you're looking at 250 million, minimum.

More if we actually sign Manquillo on a permanent contract first.

I have already deducted the Johnson factor from the money for the other two.

We've also got three other right backs you might be interested in, all Italian - Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Ricardo Lamberti. Yours for only 500 million for the set. Everyone knows Italian defenders are world class, so don't miss out on this amazing offer!

Nathaniel Clyne could be a perfect wing back in a 3421, much like Moreno. Flanagan and Manquillo on the other hand dont fit.

Maybe the 3421 is not dead.

Benteke could suit the system to. A solid target man for both Coutinho and Lallana to play off.

But if Rodgers wants to play his 433 or 41212 of old I dont think Benteke is the right fit for Rodgers ad it suggests Rodgers is not picking the players this summer.

Did you just say Moreno was perfect for the LWB position?!
did you watch him this year <yikes>

problem woth 3421 is that although it worked for a period when it caught teams out, a few teams worked it out and totally exposed it at the end of the season.

Or it suggests Rodgers has no idea which system he will play or who fits in it.

It's a great plan - if he has no idea, neither will the opposition.

Aston Villa: Christian Benteke has buy-out fee, says Tim Sherwood
Tim Sherwood says it would be "impossible" to stop Christian Benteke leaving this summer after revealing the striker has a buy-out clause in his contract.
Benteke, who has scored 15 goals for Villa this season, has been linked with a move to Liverpool.
Sherwood would not confirm the release clause figure, but reports say it is £32.5m.
"Benteke's made no indication that he wants to leave," said the Villa boss.
"Someone's got to meet that buy-out clause and if they don't it won't be considered because we don't want to lose him."

REVEALED: How Liverpool could look next season with Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal targets

Benteke, who joined Villa from Genk for £7m in 2012, signed a new four-year deal in 2013 after initially handing in a transfer request.
While Sherwood says Benteke has not expressed a desire to move away from Villa Park, he urged the Belgium striker to stay at least one more season at the club.
"I don't think he should be moving clubs before a European Championship," he said.
"By playing for Aston Villa it hasn't hindered him being the first choice at Belgium, up to now.
"So to come here and score at the ratio in which he has scored, since I have taken over, if he ends scoring 20 or 30 goals next season he is probably playing for Real Madrid."

Liverpool are closing in on a £40million deal for Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio.
The Argentina international joined Benfica in 2012 and has scored nine times this season.
And according to reports in Portugal his agent and Benfica's president have travelled to Liverpool to discuss the deal.

Not sure we will play 3 at the back. That was a temporary solution to try and stop conceding more goals by adding another defender in the mix. Once figured out, we struggled and went back to 4.

Also, Moreno is not a wing back. Clyne is flexible to play full back or wing back which is good.

Finally on Benteke - I cannot see how it would work. We have a potentially world class player in Coutinho - we should be building around him and his strengths. Playing him behind a striker who's main strength is in the air and rarely runs of the last man, we're effectively stifling Coutinho.

Wow - that is one horrendous team, destined for mid table mediocrity. Alves is past it and struggles offensively, not to mention being poor defensively. Just a better version of Johnson but still not good enough.

Can and Skrtel at centre back? Skrtel being poor in a back 2, and Can being a midfielder.

Henderson and Milner - both are far too similar and will not provide a good enough screen for the defence.

Coutinho playing through-balls to Benteke who is renowned for running off the shoulder of the last man. Ibe, who is still raw and Sturridge who plays 40% of total games in the season.

Clyne is a big work horse.

I sincerely doubt we offered 10 Mil as that's like half his value.

    We also signed up wisdom

In the end it is high time we did have competitive height in the team so I can't wait until Gordon sacks rodgers next October and we bring in pulis who after all is perfect to manage all Gordon players... mad Mario, Clyne, lovern, Benteke....

Why all we need now is shawcross and we are set.

45 point each season assured. Well dine gordon

£10m is a low offer but that's because he's entering the last year of his contract.
