So you think Juve will be spending £25m of that to pay Pogba's agent fee then?
No I think Utd will end up paying at least some it it

Basically, you've no idea what happened. Cech was obviously chummy with Abramovich who out of pity let him join a local rival - that noted bleeding heart liberal. Also it probably wasn't mourinho who sold cech. It was evident that Jose wasn't happy about selling Arsenal Cech. He would have preferred him abroad. (just what i think) Cech who had been a stalwart at Chelsea for 10 years was obviously chummy with Roman and Roman rewarded his good loyalty by letting him go to Arsenal.
In no way is this situation the same at United as Jose did Romans bidding whereas not Woodward is obviously going to be Joses bitch

If that is his idea of a reward, I've no idea what a punishment would look like.

It would have if he wanted to be first choice.Well Cech categorically stated he wanted to stay in London but wanted to be 1st choice - so I imagine punishment would have been forcing him to sign for Spurs![]()
Apart from Sanchez, none of the players you listed provided a real goal threat last season, Mahrez banged in 20 odd goals last season, so he most certainly brings something we badly need. The world class forwards are not really there in this transfer market, also the price is becoming a joke, Higuain for £70 odd million is insane, there is no way Dortmund will look at that and think about selling PEA for £50 Million. How are we weak in his position?
Mahrez has played most his career as a AMF or on the wing as WF - he's not an old fashioned winger. Essentially he's an attacking midfielder.
This would be the ONE position we are certainly NOT weak in. Ozil, Carzorla, Ramsey, Wilshere, Chamberlain, Sanchez and the breakthrough Iwobi all occupy similar roles.
The squad is starting to resemble the post Henry Arsenal side. Adebayor as our main forward, RVP constantly injured but Fabregas, Hleb, Rosicky etc.. all creating loads of chances. The **** thing about supporting Arsenal over the last 10+ years is the Boss just makes the same mistakes over and over again. Over accumulation of the same kinds of players is one of those. The best Arsenal sides had firepower something we distinctly lack these days.
We need a World class forward. We don't need Mahrez. If we spend £40 million on another AMF do you really think we will be buying the striker we need?!.. because we won't.
Am I the only one here that is getting sick of these insane transfer fees nowadays? Pogba for 100m and Higuain for 75m is crazy. As a fan you feel more and more out of touch with what is happening in football, which started off as a working class sport. Enough is never enough I guess.
Yes and No. If that's what the top players cost now then we have to pay these prices.Same. Transfer fees have become utterly dispicable. £79m for Higuian and as somebody said on Radio 5 live he's not even Argentina's first or second best striker.
As frustrating as it is being an arsenal fan when the transfer window comes around, I'm glad Wenger isn't being dragged into paying these bullshit prices.
I guarantee we will go into next Season with a massive injury list having not strengthened in the areas that need addressing.
Ridiculous initOh you're just basing that on every other season..

The other issue is do these top players want to come to Arsenal.
Wenger doesn't seem to have the pulling power that other high profile managers have.
Even Vardy didn't want to join us !

Wenger cant continue with the same strategy. It wasn't working before and the league is getting more and more competitive.
We need a Top striker and another CB. Will we get them? probably not. Our inability to land transfer targets or our willingness to pay the required fees has basically made us a laughing stock.
I guarantee we will go into next Season with a massive injury list having not strengthened in the areas that need addressing.
It's Latin for CleverCleaver? Arf.
Maybe it's because 3 of our CBs are either not on tour or they're injured. Arsene already came out after the Mertesacker story broke to say we need to get in experience to cover so I'm not worried yet.
Saving that for when that "experience" turns out to being Squillachi back for round 2.
