I was hoping it was Wenger's new 'cunning plan' to attack the opposition strike force with a meat cleaver before every game!

We tried that at Stamford Bridge. Didn't work out so well.I was hoping it was Wenger's new 'cunning plan' to attack the opposition strike force with a meat cleaver before every game!

Arsenal have spoken to the agent of Valencia's German defender Shkodran Mustafi, 24

Any thoughts on this ? He'd make a decent and fairly solid addition at the back imo
Not really. Just comes down to opinion. I would have taken Lacazette ahead of Gignac for sure.Thought Morata looked decent in the Euros (I know, I know) but it's telling Lacazette didn't make the French squad.
In other news it turns out our failed bid for Lacazette was turned down in the early summer before West Ham's bid. Bit odd of Lyon to release those details now.
Decent? He is a quality defender, would be first choice even if Per was fit, him and Kos would be a great partnership, but with the way we handle transfers, no point getting too exited about the possibility of getting Mustafi.Arsenal have spoken to the agent of Valencia's German defender Shkodran Mustafi, 24

He is a total liability, a red card waiting to happen (as often does) and has to make last ditch challenges (of his own making) way too much.Decent? He has four red cards so far, pretty sure Vidic got that many just against Liverpool and Torres,He is a total liability, a red card waiting to happen (as often does) and has to make last ditch challenges (of his own making) way too much.
, but that hardly made him a 'liability'. Mustafi is still a young CB, so he is by no means the finished product, but I rate him and his style of defending, he would be good alongside Kos.He does look quality and its no easy feat to get into this Germany side.He has four red cards so far, pretty sure Vidic got that many just against Liverpool and Torres,, but that hardly made him a 'liability'. Was just wondering though, Kos is 6'1 and not the best in the air, Gabby is 6'1 and lightweight for a CB, Mustafi is 6'0 ...are we going to get smashed at set pieces?
He's a full German international and played in the EurosIf true then he's hardly the most experienced player ever at 24 but could be a good signing I suppose. Though I know nothing about him!

It could be the most balanced first XI and bench in the world... Our main problem is still the big man sitting in the dugout.Im gonna keep posting these current rumour teams.. lets suppose Mustafi, Mahrez and Lacazette actually are all legitimate targets...
---------------------------Cech--------------------------
Bellerin------Mustafi-----Koscielny-----Monreal
----------------Xhaka------Carzorla-----------------
Mahrez---------------Ozil----------------Sanchez
--------------------Lacazette------------------------
Bench: Giroud, Wellbeck, BFG, Ramsey, Wilshere, Coquelin, Ospina.
Quite a nice balanced looking side. With strong bench.
