He's 22 - thats still young - don't see the problem with me calling him a kid. I have no need to doany research - i'm not remotely interested.

Trials at 22<laugh> Established international, trials <laugh>

As for research, fine don't do it, just don't try appear to be an authority on subjects you've got no clue about.<ok>

“Show me some respect, I’m an African champion!” – Oboabona turns down Arsenal trials
http://dailypost.com.ng/2013/07/30/...-champion-oboabona-turns-down-arsenal-trials/

Godfrey Oboabona has taken a swipe at Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, for showing him a lack of respect.

The Super Eagles defender blasted the Gunners, after they demanded that he comes to London for trials, before he can make a move to the Emirates.

Oboabona feels he does not have anything to prove, especially after he featured prominently for Nigeria, as they won their third Africa Cup of Nations trophy this year.

“Arsenal’s management tell me to come for a trial when I WON the African Nations Cup,” the 22-year-old Oboabona told The Sun.

“I think I should be above such requests. It is high time some of these clubs started respecting Nigeria.”

aha What a clown. Guy wins ACN and he's already acting like he's a world class established player. His loss at the end of the day. What a bell. Wasting a chance kids would die for all because of his arrogance.

Eloquent words from a scholar<ok>

Always the recourse of a fool who has no argument to put forward.

I would call you bum-boy but I think it's on the list of bad words Liverpool have set :)

You would call me a "bum boy"even though I labelled you that first? <laugh> Why not go ahead and say "I know you are, but what am I?" <laugh>

Man. You've shown you're extremely dull minded and unintelligent by the way you debate your points and generally carry yourself. But you're unoriginal and possess very little wit too? I feel for you.

@sisu

I'm hardly trying to talk on a subjective with authority that i don't know about am i?

I looked at the link and made my comment that it's his loss.

Not sure why you think it's so funny that at 22 he would be asked to do a trial, as far as im aware it is common practice to offer trials to players of that age and to older players as well in some circumstances. You just come across as a bit of a fool tbh.

<laugh>

Brilliant.

Has your club ever heard of scouts?

Come over for a Trial<laugh> The player was right to be offended being 22 and an international player and has won an international trophy or two. It might be the ACN, the African equivalent of the Euros but it is a big deal over there, imagine oxo being asked to got for a trial at Valencia after winning the Euros with England

That was my overwhelming reaction. I know at least 500 kids that I have coached who would endure any sort of pain and suffering for a trial at Arsenal.

Arrogance really doesn't do it justice, there just isn't a word for it. Made me feel sick.

An international player who won one of the weakest internationals tournaments going around. And so what if he is 22, he has not played outside Africa yet, so it's clear why if we wanted him, we needed another close look.

So you think every player who joins a club does it based purely on scout reports and they don't get asked to come for a trial so the rest of the club and manager can get a proper look if they are unrpoven in a top league?

Just because he was in a squad to win a trophy doesn't somehow make him good enough for Arsenal.

England would be in no way guaranteed success in they entered that tourney.

Obviously Arsenal want a look, that's what scouts are for, I guess there must be trust issues with the scouts then?

This sort of thing is common practice for big clubs - what are you going on about Sisu.....

That's cause England are ****ing ****. Clearly we want a look, because then Wenger can judge him, and as always he has the final say, and even in training with our first team, this guy would be tested a lot more, compared to the African league.

Somebody from the club announced, loudly, at the beginning of the transfer season that we had pots of money to spend. This has raised expectations beyond normal levels and has also tipped the balance away from us in negotiating terms. In this day of 24 hour rolling news, twitter and other media technology, it has become much harder to do transfer dealing in the 'old' way. Papers exaggerate the smallest of titbits and fans get all agitated because 'nothing is happening'. There are a few players about who have moved for the money - not necessarily meaning that we have missed out on anyone yet. It is interesting to note that the Champions are also frustrating their fans with a lack of purchases. We still have a month to go. September 2nd is the time to assess whether any club has been busy enough and next may will reveal who really did or didn't buy well.

And that is what makes me think you won't spend a lot again. You see, the last thing a club that has a lot of money will do is announce it. Most clubs keep it quiet because they don't want to get ripped off <ok>

Sisu is just a WUM who will jump on anything to try and get a rise out of Arsenal fansat the moment because he is highly upset by the fact he is worried Suarez is going to join us. It's sad really - he needs more hugs.

If he is indeed a WUM, he is clearly not a very good one, then.

That was behind the point I was trying to make. Wenger has not been dealt the hand a lot of fans think he has. But he is still seen to be the man to blame.
