Never going to happen. I did hear rumours of Per swapping shirt number, ditching the number 4, but Diaby has also swapped, so it's not likely that Per is swapping for someone else to come in.

It's just a rumour though, there isn't any official word as to whether Per is changing number, and why change number before we signed anyone? Sanogo has already been given 22, so it's not that.

I think it's true to say the club have not released next season's squad numbers yet.If you look on Arsenal.com it still shows Mertesacker as having the number 4 shirt

Yeah, I doubt it too. Actually, I'm beginning to enjoy what Arsenal are doing here. They are obviously keeping very close-lipped about what they are doing. It is driving the press insane. They are making up **** just so they can get a denial, but no-one is saying anything.
