I'd take Kane for £30-40m. Couple of seasons left in him. Would be great bantz to do a semi-Campbell v2.

Osimhen is a dickhead and I got my fill of those back in the day with Auba, Laca, Guendouzi etc. No thanks.
Alvarez... if we sign him, I'll convince myself he's world class. But something about isn't quite right. Not overly convinced and he'll be at least £100m.

I think getting goal threats in the positions behind the striker is more important than getting one worldie striker, who doesn't seem to even really exist and/or be available anyway.

Saka can theoretically do it and we just have to hope this season has been a gash one-off for him rather than his new norm. Eze just started upping his G/A so they're both theoretical goal threats. Get a genuine worldie threat on the left (Yildiz or pipedream Khvaratskelia please) and then we'd have goal threats from all angles.
Would've paid top whack to buy Kane when he left Spurs, sure we could've tempted him !! Would've won at least 2 league titles by now if we bought him

Everything I've seen is simply reports that Man Utd have discussed MLS internally and that he's on a list, not that they've spoken to us about signing him. Which basically is a nothing-burger of a story. I'm sure Man Utd quite like the look of 1000 players... doesn't mean they're getting anywhere near them.

Can you honestly see Arsenal selling one of our top young, English propects? Would not be good optics, if nothing else. The only way this happens if if he pushes to leave like that Chido Obi dude who's career already looks shot to pieces. And if he does push to leave, at the age of 19, after ONE season of not that many starts, then jog on Myles.
We already have, we sold ESR, we sold Balogun, if the money is right they will be sold.

If Jesus was consistently performing to his best and was not so injury prone, then Gyokeres would be back up too (or wouldn't have been bought)
Rotation will always happen but there is still a starter and back up and the starter will play a lot, compared to but parts from the back ups.

I just don't think Alvarez will come here to get Nketiah minutes for Arsenal or Jesus minutes this year - and we wouldn't buy him for that.

.
There was nothing in Jesus' past to suggest he was the one. 14 goals were the most he had scored in the league and he had an injury history that should not have been ignored. He was never the one, said so himself, he isnt a goal scorer.

Jesus goals and assist rates beats Gyokeres easily - so if he'd stayed fit and carried on like he did prior to the World Cup injury,, we'd never even be looking at players like Gyokeres.

How so? Gyokeres is on 11 league goals playing in a team that plays dour anti attacking football and a team that purposely does not play to his strengths <laugh>

So imagine if one or the other were not true, he would absolutely obliterate Jesus' best.

Still might, 7 games to go.

Stop with the Gyokeres 'plays in team' type excuses.
We've been a team that spreads goals around since Arteta took over - and for years have been scoring as many or more goals that at any time in our history.
It's not the team that needs to change in terms of goal scoring, it's Gyokeres.

In Jesus first season in 2075 minutes he got 11 goals and 7 assists in the PL - one every 115 minutes.
Gyokeres has 11 goals and no assists in 1901 minutes in the PL - one every 173 minutes.
If Jesus had stayed fit, we'd never have even signed Gyokeres and he'd still be playing in the minor leagues approaching 30.

Seriously, these Gyokeres excuses from a section of the fan base have become ridiculous. He's been huge disappointment (predictably so, he was 27 and never once played in a big league) and I would be surprised if we didn't move him on in the summer.

Excuses looooooool !

You better pray Gyokeres doesnt score 3 goals in the remaining 7 games to match Jesus' best ever goal output in the Prem, so your agenda can stay in tact.

I pray he does score a shed load more goals than he is.
Been praying for that all season.
My agenda is for Arsenal to win.

Hmmm. So, some interesting news today according to Sami Mokbel of the BBC. Let's summarise.

- Arteta in talks with the club to extend his deal. Not done yet, but optimism that talks are going in the right direction and even though they've had initial discussions, further talks will commence in the Summer.

- Myles Lewis Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri are both not ruled out of being sold this Summer, as the club needs to sell after a heavy investment last Summer with minimal sales. As both players are academy players, their potential sales would mean pure profit on the books, which would help us comply with the PL's SCR rules. The club would only sell both of them for a combined £100m minimum.

- Other players up for sale include: Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Ben White.

- The club are confirmed to be interested in Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez, but they would only sanction a move if they can sell Kai Havertz or Victor Gyokeres.

- Arsenal also interested in Newcastle trio of Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Tino Livramento as Newcastle expected to sell at least one of these three players this Summer.

- Arsenal also interested in Celta Vigo fullback Oscar Mingueza, who is out of contract this Summer.

Last summer was poor window in terms of attacking talent - spending over £200m on Gyokeres, Madueke and Eze. Eze might come good , but he's been underwhelming. The other two have been flops. That's a big waste of money that is going to set us back. However, the finances suggest we get through any PSR issue EASILY even if we spent another £150m and hardly sold anyone.

I wouldn't read to much into the potential exits. Personally don;t believe we'd keep Trossard who is now past 30, for example, over others mentioned.

MLS and Nwaneri have both been major disappointments.
Lets face it, Nwaneri was very poor for a while before he got loaned out and is probably on the brink of being discarded.
MLS has been a disaster this season - every time he;s had a chance he's performed poorly. I would not mind cashing in on him. Now is probably the right time before his value plummets.

Tonali, Gordon (especially) and Livramento are not good enough for a top side - I struggle to believe any of those stories.

All in all the rumours seem like another direct attempt to unsettle players in the vital title run in.

Arteta has not earned a contract extension at all! Spent near £1bn and won **** all with it (so far).

Would rather get rid of him than MLS or Nwaneri !

Mate - MLS and Nwaneri have been a big let down.
MLS has been poor whenever he's been given a chance - and he's played 28 matches (1358 minutes) of football. It's not like he hasn't been given chances.
Nwaneri was really poor in the second half of last season and the first half of this season when he played, and he's not pulling up trees in a very weak league on loan.
Both have a lot to do to prove they belong in top flight football, let alone be active sqaud members or starters for us.

Jay that's nonsense !

Last season when he came into replace Saka when he got injured he did very well, in fact so well we didn't even feel the loss of Saka, getting 1 G+A every 125 mins (in all comps). To put that into perspective Saka last season got 1 G+A every 100 mins and this season you have defended Saka from accusations that he has been ****, he has 1 G+A every 220 mins!!!

So Its clear Nwaneri of last season was doing well. Fast forward to this season and you know as well as I that he has been totally marginalised, bringing in both Eze and Madueke has prevented him from getting any meaningful game time. He didn't get a single match start in the league and was subsequently sent on loan, your assertion that he was really poor is nonsense.

In fact, he got most of his league G+As in the second half of last season. To call him poor this season is totally disingenuous because Trossard has been poor, Martinelli has been poor, Odegaard has been poor, Saka has been poor, thats all of our established attacking line (I mean not newbies this season) that have all been poor. I have linked this to the style/system we play, I don't blame the individuals, its extremely unlikely that all these players have mysteriously lost form at the same time and its not because of the system they are now being asked to play.

As for MLS, you cannot judge him based on continually being played out of position, MLS has shown us glimpses of what he can do in midfield, I would rather focus on that than judging him on Arteta's mistakes.

Yeah I agree on Nwaneri - he was class when he came in last Season. I know he had a blip where his performances dipped but thats what you get with young players. The thing I liked about Nwaneri is he's capable of scoring from almost anywhere.

MLS I'm not sure about - I don't really see as an 8 - because he's not really shown much passing variety. I actually think (and was saying this last Season) he should just look to develop as a fullback

Apparently, this kid is meant to be a supremely talented player and is held in extremely high regard.

Don't know enough about him, but not gonna say no to top young players joining the club.

Tom Canton of Football LDN (usually reliable) reporting that we're interested in Bournemouth player Eli Kroupi Jr for the Summer. However, Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell, he's on a long term contract and it could reportedly take a club record-fee to prise him away.

Hand of Arsenal confirming strong links to Victor Froholdt. Never heard of him. Only just turned 20. 6"2. Maybe he's the Norgaard replacement. Online suggests he's more of an #8 than a #6 but if he's press resistant and can tackle, then no doubt Mikel can mould him into either.

Also rumours that Hand of Arsenal is actually Per Mertesacker but this is probably just ludicrous nonsense.

Also - we've got our two Eduadorian wizards arriving next year too, and they were at the stadium on Tuesday night:
