Overtures or NOT neither of these Clubs actually made a bid for him. Chelsea and Mourinho made Rooney their No. 1 target and United seem more concerned with trying to land a TOP playmaker like Fabregas/Gundogan.
Real bid for him, Dortmund accepted and Lewandowski rejected. He's moving to Bayern on a free next year.
wenger " ok i shall put zis pound here on the table , but that does not mean i have made anozzer bid , of course . if you ask me if i have made anozzer bid ..i say ...no , because it eez very difficult ....we will have to wait and see , but i do not want to talk about that now ."
I posted earlier that AW does not what to buy expensive good players, the Suaez bid was a smokescreen, £10m for the skunk Cabye is way to low and I think PSG or somebody will come in. You should have bought our keeper but apparently wanted to pay £4m-£5m Liverpool came in and paid £9m-£10m. AW is tight should he be manager of spuds him and Levy might make a pair?
"of course , i am aware of the croissants , they are very good , but if you ask me .......do i buy these croissants , .....i say ......no "
I can imagine Wenger doing that after midnight when everyone else has gone home, still haggling trying to get the lowest price possible.
Wenger has just become a parody of himself this summer. It hurts me and I am sure every true Arsenal fan to see such a great manager in our history tarnish his own reputation like this every summer. Utter shambles.
He's coming to the end of the road I think. For me anyway. I just hope he manages to salvage something, it would be awful if he left under a blanket of hate and disappointment.
This is what perplexes me. He's worked so hard on this project but when the time has come to benefit from it, he simply clams up. I genuinely think he has his own value for each player. When he sees it go past his own evaluation, he simply rejects it. He's set in his ways and won't change, this transfer window highlighted it so clearly.
