The players in bold are the ones we really need, but are also the players that are least likely to come to us at this late stage. Anything that comes in now are only patch up jobs.
One who has become disillusioned with a club he has supported all his life. One who has spent endless sums of money to watch his team home and away. One who is fed up with the arrogance and stubbornness of a manager (or board) resistant to change. I wouldn't mind if we weren't fed a load of BS constantly... if they simply said 'we don't have the money' I very much doubt most people would be up in arms. But to insult people's intelligence is a disgraceful way to treat fans. You're damn right I would laugh, it would serve all those blind optimists who buried their heads in the sand right. As well as the arrogant Wenger (or again, board) who think they can continue to act in such an archaic manner towards the team.
I've also supported Arsenal all my life and spent endless sums of money watching them home and away.I also carried on SUPPORTING them through much worse situations than we are in now. However bads things were my support never diminished and I would never want the club to fail.
I doubt he wants the club to fail, he's just peeved that the management is taking the piss with the way they've dealt with this transfer window. You can't possibly begrudge anyone to feel upset?
He did say he'd laugh if we failed to qualify for the CL and ended up in mid-table.I would certainly question someone's support with a statement like that.
Figure of speech mate. I'm laughing at the way this transfer window is going, it doesn't mean i'm over joyed!
It would appear our friends from another forum are using their fake accounts to see what is going on over here.Feel free to join in the discussion
Would go something like this: Arsenal: Is he for sale? Dortmund: Yes, make an offer. Arsenal: 20m Dortmund: F**k off.. Arsenal: £25m Dortmund: F**k off. .. End of Window: Arsenal: We really want him, £40m. Dortmund: Ok, we'll ask him: Dortmund to Lewandowski: Wev'e accepted an offer from Arsenal do you want to talk terms? Lewandowski: F**k off.
The only way to do it would be to go in with a £40+ Million offer. Dortmund DO NOT want to sell to Bayern and obvioulsy they dont want him to leave on a free transfer. The only issue would be convincing Lewandowski that we are worth joining.
That's my point. Hes going to Bayern next year, have rejected overtures from Utd and Chelsea. F**k all chance he'd come to Arsenal
You had your chance to solve your keeper problem for the next 10 years if you challenged Liverpool for Mignolet from us for a steal at £9M, he would of chose Arsenal too. I dont know how you guys cope! haha especially when he says nobody is available who would improve your team.
That's what pisses me off the most about Wenger. He always says "if we can find the right players, we'll bring them in" Gustavo? Higuain? Both stated that they wanted to join us. Arsenal are becoming a joke because of this stubborn old fool
I knew we should have signed Higuain when we had the chance. Everything was in place, and STEVE ROWLEY told Arsene to try for Suarez instead. So we've ended up with nobody.
Exactly. Begovic > Mignolet > Szczesny Higuain > Giroud Gustavo > Arteta (> Cabaye) There are better players out there who are available and willing, but Wenger pretends there aren't any.
I think the quotes about Gustavo wanting to join us were a load of bullshit.I get the impression that he always wanted to stay in Germany.I do think we ****ed up with Higuain though. If the rumours are to be believed we did show interest in him but then turned our attentions to a futile bid for Suarez.Someone should take responsibility for believing there was a £40m release clause in Suarez's contract. The people whose job it is to conduct our transfer business certainly didn't do their homework.
Possibly but this article appears legit :http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/aug/12/arsenal-luiz-gustavo-bayern-munich The Guardian are one of the more reliable football papers and in this article they use direct quotes. I suspect that if we made a serious offer we could have secured his services. I think the wages he is now on at Wolfsburg are so high because they can't offer him CL football. We could so we could get away with giving him lower wages. The whole summer reeks of indecision and penny pinching. Negligent and unacceptable in my view.
That may well have been posted in the Guardian but I think Fernando Duarte is an agency journalist. If you were to look back in this article you will find a link I think it was to ESPN which is exactly the same post as was in the Guardian Here's the ESPN link http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1520509/bayern-munich-luiz-gustavo-keen-arsenal-switch?cc=5739
why would they need to even create ANY account to read whats being said. ???? That doesnt even make any sense.
