But sadly, it seems like we are going to be stuck with Chamakh for another year. No talk of him leaving after his **** loan spell at West Ham, I can see why nobody is interested.
Not really an achievement when they are released at the end of their contracts. Had you sold them, then yes.
It get's them off the wage bill though and frees up plenty of wages for new signings. It also means we never have to watch them playing for us ever again.
Achievement was probably the wrong word, but if we did manage to get rid of all those players in this one transfer window then that would give us so much room to manoeuvre with when it comes to investing in new players.
With Bedntner, we have by all accounts received five bids for him and have accepted them all, now it's up to Bedntner to pick one of those clubs and let's just prey that he takes a wage cut in order to get some game time so he can get his career going again.
In his last interview he said that he now realises that he's got to play in at level down from the top, to get regular games. At ****ing last, the penny has dropped
Yep saw that. Bendnter should have looked at someone like Vela and seen how he has developed with game time.
Juve interested too. Looks like it's all waiting for PSG to appoint their new manager first. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jun/10/gonzalo-higuain-juventus-real-madrid
This guy needs to be cut some slack, irregular poster has something interesting to say and he gets flack. For what it's worth I've also heard there has been some contact, nothing concrete and certainly no agreement, but discussions have taken place. I'm not convinced he's what we're looking for/in need of but if AW sees him and his baggage as a step forward then great, he knows far more than I ever will....
Where would Rooney fit into Arsenal's system? He seems to play his best stuff in a role behind a lead striker, but wouldn't that lead to Cazorla being pushed out wide or being forced into the midfield? It's good to have options, but I sometimes feel that Wenger buys players without considering where they fit into the system and then tries to alter their normal role. Worked brilliantly with Henry, but a number of others have fallen by the wayside since, in my opinion.
Rooney wants to play up front, hence the reason he wants to leave man u, he could play the same role as RVP did for us before he left.
Rooney could easily play as the lone front man in our system and I think he would like that, because he would also be allowed to drop deep and link the play. One of his best seasons in a United shirt was in the 2009/10 season and in that season he was playing as the lone front man.
Got found out though as soon as Valencia got injured though (following season I think). He'll need to be playing in a side that has natural width and can provide assists, would Walcott accept playing out wide? Not sure Cazorla is that good out wide, ten times better when played in the middle off the striker, IMO
Walcott drifts inside when he's playing on the right and him and Rooney could work well together if he dropped back into the 'RVP' role. Cazorla for me needs to play centrally, that's his best position. When I first heard about the Rooney rumours, I just couldn't see it happening, but to be honest I think he could actually be a top quality player for us.
