Akpom is a really muscular striker who can barge his way past defenders, he's also got a really good eye for goal and a hammer shot on him. It's a shame we're out of the League cup and FA cup, because I'd like to have seen him feature.
 
Its crazy that this thread is still going.

Just shows how much Arsenal fans are crying out for Wenger to add some real quality back into the side.

I really hope it's bullshit, now is not the time to waste money on an unproven 20-year-old. This is only acceptable if he plans to buy a world class striker as well; one for the future, one for the present. However, Wenger's track record causes me to be pessimistic.

Now is the time to do what we haven't done for years which is buy a big player!! Jovetic is the minimum I will be happy with when it comes to a striker.

We sold the best striker in the league and replaced him with a striker who currently stands at 20th in the top scorers table. This was after Wenger claimed that Giroud and Podolski were not replacements for RVP.

One world class player can really be worth more to the team than 5 good players. Look at Suarez at Liverpool. We need a match-winner in the team again. This summer is Wenger's last chance for me. If he doesn't strengthen properly after the season we've had then he can **** right off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bringing in another young striker is fine so long as Wenger doesnt use it as an excuse not to add genuine quality. Who knows this guy could be another Henry?.. Bringing in young player has always worked for us so we should continue.

Our youth system is great and all its just we need to bring in some established quality.

So lets say we have 50-60 Million available..

Sell:

Bendter £500,000
Mannone £1,000,000
Arshavin £5,000,000
Squillaci £1,000,000
Gervinho £4,000,000

Sagna may leave - £5,000,000.

In:

Jovetic £15-20,000,000
Wanyama £10,000,000
Hummels £20,000,000 - least likley option I would admit but to be honest Hummels would be the BEST defensive signing we could possibly make.

Arshavin and Squillaci only have a few months left on their contracts. So we are not going to even get a penny for those two.

From the stories Sanogo looks quite good actually. Though we need experience and proven quality too.

We're also linked with Jeremy Toulalan again today.

There is not a hope in hell of getting to get wanyama for 10 million, plus he is in the Scottish papers today saying he wants to stay for at least 1 more year at Celtic and is on the verge of extending his contract.
 
Fabianski, Arshavin & Squillaci are out of contract this summer.

I'd also like to see Djourou, Chamakh, Bendtner, Denilson & Park all moved on, though selling them with the wages seems nigh on impossible.

If they can be shifted, that's £350k at least saved in wages - plenty to play around with.
