At last - I saw it on twitter earlier but thought maybe a hoax as no meat on the bones.
This is more substantial - good to see the Jez Moxey effect having an effect on Wolves - offering NCFC-esque prices for players clearly worth far more in today's horse market, especially with proven strikers at even more of a premium.

It is a headline on Sky Sports News that Wolves had a 5M bid rejected by Derby.

Just seen this on the EDP website and hoping that is going to be how AN sets the team up to play and if so we should be in for some exciting times and lots of noise at CR - “We are not accepting just going into a game trying to nick a point, we want to attack every game and see where that takes us in the league,” he said.

I will also be there, in spirit though not in body. Around trip, with match tickets, would cost me the best part of £600, so you will forgive me if I am an absent but envious fan
So long as you have the new shirt with International shipping name and number we will let you off .:emoticon-0136-giggl

I still wear my Colmans shirt on a regular basis. I do the hash (hash house harriers ) and my hash name is Mustard Gas because of my canary affiliation and Colmans. ( Canarys in the mines to check for gas ).

We know he can do it in this league.

AN had a good look at him and decided he wasn't for us. That's good enough for me. :emoticon-0105-wink:

On another note, the Line-up and Score Prediction Leagues thread is up for Sheffield Wednesday. Only 3 people managed one point in the score prediction league and for anybody who missed the Line-Up prediction league there are 14 points available from last week (the lowest score posted) to get you started. Go on, have a go! <cheers>

Devil's advocate, honest guv, but for me two options.
Stick fairly rigidly to a system - which may initially be quite alien to those players, as in one up front, so people like Hooper haven't got a prayer, or adapt to a plan B to accommodate the skill-sets of the players you have at your disposal for any given game / opposition?
Fluidity between the two would be divine but that's not the AN way - his preferred formation is pretty well-established.
Re: RER's post, what I'm saying is if you play to his strengths, Bamford will score goals for you at this level <ok>

Fair enough Cromer, but IMO Bamford doesn't fit the approach AN wants to use, mainly because we have Wes, Naismith and Pritchard ahead of him in the queue. At Villa, ironically, he's going to be competing against McCormack.
