When I went to a lot of City games because I was living in London I'd have to set off early and so I would stay in Friday night and be shattered on a Saturday night. I'd play football on Sunday and because I was in my late 30s I'd be shattered after the match.
This was most weekends during the season. Eventually I had to give up and now I only go to matches in the south east.
I liked my North East away games and My North West but as I've said for a good few seasons, they get changed to awkward times and days now.

I cancelled mine. Didn't to get to one game last season. ****ing about with kick off times, personal stuff with my health, family bereavements, M1 50 mph . The days of me rushing out of work and navigating what should be a 2 hour journey are gone. I'm getting tickets for Coventry though as it's just the other end of the M69. And I'll obviously do Leicester away.

I should add i cancelled mine at the end of last season before all this **** came out. But it was obvious it was coming and I'm not one of ITK ers. Common sense is a gift from God.

This might have been said but I noticed earlier this week there was seats available online that weren’t available a few weeks ago. (Nw corner)

Is anyone clear on Puerta and Laalaoui yet?

Baz suggests that the EFL will likely reject the clearance. He then says the EFL are hardly likely to allow us to go and pay 3.5m on a player. I don't know if Baz is saying this because he knows something or he's just guessing, I would guess he's guessing due to the limited information he's giving.

It seems to me that we already did deals for both players before the embargo hit and they are now under contract with us. The EFL are refusing registration as the embargo started just before the registration window opened. This surely means we that we have the two players at the club but we're unable to play until a point in time they can be registered?

the mini summer window opened on June 1 and closed nine days later at 7pm on June 10
why couldnt they be registered then?

As mentioned before, that particular situation just smacks of pettiness and goes beyond the club. Two players left in limbo

They’re still our players but we can’t register them. We could loan both of them out. It might be worth loaning Laalaoui to Maribor this season and selling Puerta for a profit.

I think that sums it up yes. They are our players on contracts but neither can be registered. The rumoured plan was to flip Puerta, his value has now collapsed. EFL preventing his registration is deepening our financial woes at a time when they want us to improve them. Very odd.

Do you really think in the circumstances we could profit on Puerta?

It does feel punitive by the EFL, as they're basically locking us in to taking a loss on a player, negatively affecting the finances even more.

Yeah, but not a huge profit. We signed him for €3.8M. I think clubs in Serie A, La Liga or even the Prem would be willing to pay £4-5M this summer to get him now.

Sorry but no one is paying that money for him. He can’t play football for us, he has no value if we keep him.

Unless the club is confident the EFL will relent. Not seen that said anywhere yet though.

If the restriction is reduced to one window, it puts us in a better bargaining position than if it’s three windows. He’s contracted until 2028 so we could just tell anyone interested that we’re keeping him until someone offers us more than what we paid.

If it gets reduced to one window I'd hope we just loan both out until January then grt them back.

And meanwhile we pay him £100k a month to do nothing. That immediately trims half a million off his value, even with the reduction to one window.

There is very little we know as fact regarding the Puerta and Laalaoui situation. From what we do know and can put together, it doesn't make any sense that the club and players would be so pointlessly punished by the EFL, as others have said. That makes me think that there must be more that we don't know which explains their stance.

I think it's a bit wrong that nobody has said anything on it though. The EFL have been totally silent on the matter and so are the club, but clearly the two players aren't allowed to play. It feels as though someone really should be required to explain that.
