"In financial documents seen by The Athletic, dated the end of May, Hull still had £21.8million of future transfer commitments"

This doesn't necessarily suggest a leak from the club does it? Do the EFL have lists of this sort of info? Maybe he has a source at the EFL?

Whilst a worrying article, it doesn't really tell us anything we didn't already know. If anything it could be positive as it shows a willingness to sell. I don't dislike Acun but he clearly doesn't have the money or the backers to do what he wants to do.
Or the Brains

We’ve no more money coming into the club in the form of previous transfer fees, by the way. The fees for Lewis-Potter, Greaves and Philogene have all been settled now except for add-ons. We had to ask Ipswich and Villa to pay the remaining instalments for Greaves and Philogene early as we’re that skint. Other than the TV money due in August, we haven’t got any serious money coming in unless we sell current players.

just wait until the news about one of our fav players going..

And if posters think they’re our friends
They’re not!! I imagine we won’t have got the full amount owed to us

In order to generate capital we'll probably need to accept any reasonable offer for any of our players...This could be an ugly window!!

If Simons is the answer, I'm not sure I know what the question was.

He been thoroughly mediocre for us, he went out to Fleetwood and barely played, got a few games and a couple of goals for us, before moving to Wycombe (where he played less games than he'd played for us in the first half of the season) and now he's moved to another League One club.

We've got solid, reliable and cheap in Slater, we don't need two of them.
What happens if Slater gets injured or banned? Likewise Jacobs, he was worth another chance surely? Seems like nothing more than a firesale to me.

Seriously.
It’s like no one on here has ever heard of the concept of staged payments for transfers. The outstanding money is not immediately owed, and likewise the monies that are owed to us have not been leaked.

Think about the number of players who have left for an undisclosed fee. Whilst only a few like philogene and greaves have gone for big money, the sheer quantity of players who have gone out the door - even if they’ve each only gone for half of million, then it still quickly accumulates to a high number.

But it’s pointless trying to say everyone should just calm down and see what happens as some on here are only happy if they can shout from the rooftops that we’re all doomed.

Taking it into account you are correct. However, assuming that wages expenditure hasn’t come under what revenue we come in. There’s only one solution and that’s players sales. We don’t own the stadium so we can’t pull that trick (not that it’s really PSR compliant now anyway).

The club will need to sell at least £20m of players and now clubs will know we are desperate to sell. Not even panicking when saying this but chances are that leads to a decline in squad quality. We may stabilise and stay in the champ for a bit and find some gems but we’ve blown our load.

In the same way you’re telling people not to panic I urge you to stop burying your head in the sand all the same.

Much of the Championship has a wage bill higher than its revenue, we're certainly not alone on that front.

I saw an amazing stat the other day, the total revue across all 72 Football League clubs in the 2022-23 season was about £1.1b, 27% of that revenue went to just five parachute clubs.
I fully understand and appreciate what you're saying but out of all these Championship Teams,we're the Club facing punishment. We've clearly crossed a line that other Clubs haven't which is pretty concerning?

He did and the fans boycotted the club and held protests against the owners because of the way they thought the club was being run. We didn't have a transfer embargo on us either.

We were under transfer embargo when Acun bought the club, it was only lifted after he settled the outstanding £2m debt for the unpaid COVID loan.

After all the bad feeling between the Allams and a high percentage of fans I just can’t understand why Ehab would still want to get back in City. It’s a good old knees up **** show really from many angles.
It’s like when I was a young guy juggling my Visas.
