It’s a really concerning article as it isn’t just a summary of what we already know. It reveals even more concerning details about the club’s finances, namely that we owe almost £22M in transfer fee instalments to other clubs and that we even made requests to clubs to delay the payments further. Buckingham even said The Athletic have seen the evidence of this which means club employees are leaking copies of the club’s financial arrangements to the press. That alone suggests how concerned club staff are about the way the club is being run.
Yeh, Acun is spouting rubbish. Like the ITKers have been saying the clubs doomed at the minute. We will have a big point deduction soon. He’s been spending money he doesn’t have and can’t sustain the clubs spending with cash. Roll on the dark years, no one will want to take on this debt.
“There is not currently a desperation to sell, but there is a willingness to listen to offers for a club bought for £20million three years ago.” Sounds like the club is quietly for sale to the right buyer. I wonder if that desperation will increase if the appeal is lost?
I presume the money owed to Ehab is an add-on for Bowen or some percentage of KLP and Greaves money. Interesting the supposed 30m debt to the Allams doesn't in fact exist..
I would say this is the case. It’s probably why he’s being hesitant about transfers as well. There’s a demand for championship clubs and there’s a potential you get one in us on a cut deal if the ban stands
At least he will walk away and write the debt off? Correct. Are we expecting another letter from the chairmen?
I wonder if ehab is in talks or had talks about some sort of a deal with acun ? He might actually be the only one who is willing to take the club on If he is I sincerely hope he’s learned some lessons
Also, Acun can’t or won’t settle our payments to other clubs on time but has the cheek to ask Ipswich and Villa to settle the payments for Greaves and Philogene before they’re due. We’ve received all the money (about £30M) for Greaves and Philogene now so there are no more payments due except add-ons and yet we still can’t settle our debts. That alone should tell you how ****ed we are financially.
I don’t think he’d mind me saying it but Howden told me back in April around the time the players were paid late that Ehab was looking to buy the club as part of a Saudi-backed consortium.
Another meltdown from a large section of our fanbase over hearsay and rumour. Could well be true but I just hope they never suffer actual real hardship in their personal lives. Not the way I'm used to City fans or the people of Hull in general acting at all.
'IF' Ehab Allam were to return to the Club, there's only one person to blame...The one currently making a pigs ear of it.
