Clearly it's still Ehab's fault for selling it to Acun in the first place.

Naturally...Clearly it's still Ehab's fault for selling it to Acun in the first place.
The writing was on the wall when our wage bill topped our income. He was fully complicit in paying mediocre players top Championship wages...A disaster waiting to happen. How does Acun run profitable business? Never known such incompetence in running a football club.
Yep wasnt wages 135% of income? something like thatThe writing was on the wall when our wage bill topped our income. He was fully complicit in paying mediocre players top Championship wages...A disaster waiting to happen.
In the accounts there is a figure of £22m but they are described as "loans".It’s a really concerning article as it isn’t just a summary of what we already know. It reveals even more concerning details about the club’s finances, namely that we owe almost £22M in transfer fee instalments to other clubs and that we even made requests to clubs to delay the payments further.
Buckingham even said The Athletic have seen the evidence of this which means club employees are leaking copies of the club’s financial arrangements to the press. That alone suggests how concerned club staff are about the way the club is being run.

It's no way to run a business, any business.Yep wasnt wages 135% of income? something like that
So it's come to this...
...actually looking like a promising option.

It's no way to run a business, any business.
If we ran our homes like that we'd be ridiculed and rightly so.
yesIs that from the 23/24 accounts?
Buckingham’s article suggests the £21.8M figure relating to future transfer fee instalments is from a leaked club financial document from May 2025 which isn’t public knowledge yet for obvious reasons.
yes
there was nothing like that figure in the 2023-2024 accounts - trade creditors (where transfer fees owed would reside) were £9m.

What you say looks to be the caseThey might not be the same figure then, Pete. Buckingham says in his article he’s seen a leaked document of the club’s finances from May 2025 which show us owing £21.8M in future transfer fee instalments. This is probably a different figure to the £22M in the 23/24 accounts. We’ll find out when the accounts are published for 24/25.
It’s possible the £9M figure in the 23/24 accounts has been increased to £21.8M due to the 24/25 transfer business (instalments for Mehlem, Racioppi, Millar, Burstow, Hughes, Palmer, Belloumi, Kamara, Crooks, Joseph and Matazo).
Well there we go.The article says it's Bowen's add-on's.
