Big fan of Frank, set up his Brentford team very well. Very likeable, Tactically astute , great man manager and very much hands on on the training pitch.

Flits between different tactical formations. Mainly 433 last season with Brentford and occasionally shifts to 352 / 343.
Probably the most important thing for me is he improves players and Ange very rarely did that and there’s no doubt in my mind that our squad was good enough to finish top 7/8 last season.
The most critical thing is the ambition we show in this transfer window, we need to raise our wage ceiling considerably and sign ready made experienced players to complement the exciting young players we have at our disposal.

It matters not a jot who the new manager is. Levy is still in charge and the restrictions on the next victim will still exist.
Ange has faults, including his failure to adapt tactics in the wake of the Chelsea implosion and the disastrous end to the 23/24 season.
It can also be argued that his tactics led to the high level of injuries suffered this season. But...and there's always a but...

Do we think that for one minute that the decision to abort the PL season for a double or quits attempt on the EL was made without Levy being aware?

So, assuming it was a 'club' decision, and was successful, to now sack the coach the delivered on that plan seems disingenuous.

Levy and the clubs financial policies won't change, so there's no reason to think the clubs overall fortunes will.

A new manager, a limited budget, a limited wage structure. All with the added pressure of CL level humiliation.

I can’t see that being even close to the truth.

If true then the club is being run by the wrong people. To decide in December the manager is gone but then keeping him for another 5/6 months? Beyond ridiculous

If there's no suitable replacement available, better the devil you know than the devil you don't

We've gone down the extended caretaker route twice in the past, once as the DoF wouldn't be arriving until the end of the season and once because nobody suitable was available, and sometimes continuity is the better course of action

Ange's 2 seasons completely out do Burkinshaw's first 4.

Patience and belief in a project gave us our two most successful managers in our history. They are the only managers to have won more than one trophy with us.

They and Ange are the only managers to win a European trophy with us.

In my view, greed and cowardice could be costing us another successful manager.
We'll never know, but what is certain is that the next manager is in a near impossible position....he either wins a trophy and gets CL football or he's done worse than Ange. That is an awful position to put a new manager in.

Weird how a media (and numerous spurs pages) who have done nothing but hound him out for the majority of this season and take great delight in telling us how many league games we’ve lost, are now criticising the club for sacking him?

Speaking personally, as someone that has always leaned on levy’s side when it comes to some of the criticism that I think is unfair, if this decision turns out to be a bad one, any fans that weren’t in the ‘ENIC out’ camp could be moving there fairly quickly!
