I can't think what he would mean by very popular. McCarthy?

Ole Gunnar, Warren Joyce perhaps ? cant think of anyone who would be more popular.

I actually wouldn't mind PB. I know it won't be popular but I've always been with TWF and DJ that his sacking was completely wrong (it'll spoil this thread if we debate it fully so anyone who disagrees feel free to say so but I aren't going to argue).

It is Phil.

I saw him down Holderness road buying a Glockenspiel from a charity shop.

You've made that up, he's already got a Glockenspiel.

The suggestion that one of them would be popular surely points at Joyce.

Why would Joyce come now when he turned it down last time?

I would be happy with Joyce though, plus it would give us more chance of keeping Evans and Chester.

I think he'd turn us down again, but the Allam's wanted a popular name on the list and I suspect he'd be the most popular.

I can see it being Mick McCarthy for experience and knowledge. Personally I can't see how Joyce would be a huge forward step from NB. Yes, he's got the link to Man United and our current crop of youngsters and he's well respected in the game but he's untested in the Championship which could be a huge gamble especially if the Allams have a target.
