In fairness having been a mod years ago, I can understand what happens in these circumstances.

You always get certain posters who like to moan behind the scenes and they can be very persistent. Sometimes as a mod you'll make it go away as you can't be arsed fielding the same complaints ad infinitum. The issue is with those who make the ripples tbf.

Exactly! Its not the first time I've done something I don't necessarily agree with for peace and I'm sure it won't be the last. I've banned three posters from our board in the past purely because their presence disrupted threads constantly; aka matth!

You ****er ive jusf had to say hi to my phone and wave at that magpie couldnt you have posted a pic of 2 magpies and said here he is on the left.

I banned matth once and got my powers taken off me <cry>

What's done is done, though this is the Pro Israel MO everytime anyone brings up this subject in a public space. Attacks, false claims, silence in the face of irrefutable proof and complaints of being offended in the face of solid evidence, when all else fails suggest people sre Antisemitic or Nazi. Attack people and not their argument, cheerry pick info ect.

This is and media silence is how you rarely hear anything about the daily crimes against Palestinians and others like in Bahrain amongst other places.

Who really gives a f** right?

Correct saint , if you dont like it dont click on it. Hence I have never read the cricket, england , formula 1 or probably 50% of threads on here.

My point in making this thread is to show how easily one persons dislike/non interest in a particular thread shouldnt mean the threads removal.

As of now the threads I mentioned are still on the Liverpool board. So it gets me wondering was the gaza thread removed because some dislikes the op (sisu)

I also wonder if the complainant was infact UIR and if it was well then the site is ****ed where a rival fan can get things moved.

Your countryman did very well in the Twenty:20 yesterday <whistle>

Thought this was going to be about the different wardrobes of different generations on the forum. Oh what a disappointment. Hash has a point. There seems to be a 'one rule for us and another rule for them' attitude in certain sections of the forum and in its moderation sometimes.

Looking at the front page right now you can make a case for most of the threads being there as they are either LFC specific or general enough/about sports (F1 / cricket) to be relevant to the forum. What pisses me off is - not to single the old ****er out, sorry chap - how is a thread like the 'Cheese update' thread aloud to stay but Sisu's goes. Both are self-indulgences by one poster. It just seems one is tolerated whilst the other is bullied off as a madman. I enjoy, or enjoyed in the case of the latter, both threads but it's hypocritical to ditch one and not the other. Hell I started one about mushrooms the other day, it's gone down a page or two, that's fine but using current logic it shouldn't be here now.

Thinking about it, what were the actual reasons behind removing this thread. Can one of the mods at least be clear on that instead of hiding behind bravado and the power of their position. In fact clearer rules on what is appropriate subject matter for the forum and what is not would be appropriate if we're going down this censorship route.

A little unfair there. It's not self-indulgence. It's a real-life soap opera and there are some genuinely funny incidents chronicled there, by no means all directly involving me. If you want it shifting, then have a poll on it or speak to the mods. You've surprised me. I thought you were a fun bloke, but clearly not.

I'm sure some oldies on here love to sway and fart in their little happy playground swings - I'm not one of them. What makes you think I like a dumbified "happy" place for a forum?

personal insults that are thrown gratuitously with no point or humour shouldn't be welcome, but other than that I say - Battle f*cking away - so long as nobody hits below the belt or brings a knife to the ring. Healthy rules is all what some of us are asking for. and a few helpful questions like this:

What makes a thread outstay their welcome? What makes a thread sticky? What makes a thread closed? What makes a thread merged? Why so few original OPs? Why does the 2011 class represent 95% of the posts? Why so much tripe? Why does tobes exist?

You missed out "Why don't I just **** off and find a board peopled by miserable twats with zero sense of humour or any genuine allegiance to LFC where I'll feel completely and comfortably at home?"

No, he's a fungi.
See his mushroom thread.
