There was a debate at the start of the Isaeli assault, but as the days rolled on, the World turned against what was an obvious attrocity and there was widespread condemnation by the time it ended and there was no credible argument against the principle of what sisu was posting about.

The resistance disappeared and he continued posting as he had throughout, but with little credible come back from those who were vehemently opposed to his view at the start of the thread. So that then becomes 'a rant' in your eyes, and instead of challenging it, you demand it's removal, 'for the good of the board', sure.

Listen "chum" for you it's all about "who" complains, I could complain about a thread till the cows came home and it would never be closed, not that I have ever asked for a thread to be closed or moved anyways.

I just dont read them, but you pander to people who go into the thread to read it and then they get offended when they know they will because the thread has been consistent given my posting in it so they knew what to expect but still went and read it so, in that context they wished to be offended and then complain to a sympathetic fence sitting mod with a history of making bad judgement calls.

of course your chums will back you up here and who really cares? right.

I think this thread has probably run it's course and it's now turning into an argument over 1 thread and who thinks what about it.

If you want to discuss that particular thread it's still available to use so probably best to go to that thread and talk about it there. Gerrez will have to tell you where it was moved to as im not sure <ok>

    Ps Portugal is nice <diva>

I am old enough to know that people do get offended by perceived untruths or inaccuracies or injustices. This is a general statement. Yes, you and I are detached enough to think and debate rationally. But it is not the same for all. So one clever guy sitting in a comfortable armchair in a cosy nice European country typing nice stuff about defending the downtrodden against some conspiracies. Aren't we all suppose to be impressed??

  6. History of bad decisions? You mean you and I have had a few fall outs over time and you don't agree with decisions involving you! You haven't got a clue about half the decisions I've made whilst in this position, same goes for a most of this board.

You can throw the "chum" accusations about all you like, you couldn't be more wrong! However, I don't expect you to believe since you love a good old conspiracy theory, nor do I give a **** if you don't.

For the record though, I agree that posters shouldn't visit threads if they don't like the content. I never went on the Gaza thread as it didn't interest me, same as it didn't interest any of the other mods either. Therefore it was going unmoderated and we were receiving complaints. Moving it was the easy options; removes the problem from the Liverpool board but leaves the thread available for those that enjoy participating.

My traffic warden thread got removed too <whistle>

But seriously. Is this really such a big deal? Just move on, this is how the forum is (rightly) run so if it's causing you so much bother and stress then just find one better suited to your personal preferences. The majority are happy with the forum and the direction is going in. I personally like Sisu and Liv and enjoy reading their posts as I do tend to learn but if it's causing you this much distress then what's the point?

That's not the point. The point is only certain peope can be "distressed" and have a thread cosed or moved, everyone else just has to suck it up and not read threads they dont like as per how normal people carry it.

I asked this earlier. What's the point of putting this type of thread on a football board?

There must be a few forums or boards that have this type of discussion.

Sisu you are either an idiot or a liar or both.

"others just had their core beliefs affronted and dropped out of the discussion in the face of the harsh truth." Nobody dropped out of the argument because they had their core beliefs affronted or because of your supposed "truths". People stopped posting because you were not listening or engaging!

In fairness having been a mod years ago, I can understand what happens in these circumstances.

You always get certain posters who like to moan behind the scenes and they can be very persistent. Sometimes as a mod you'll make it go away as you can't be arsed fielding the same complaints ad infinitum. The issue is with those who make the ripples tbf.

  16. Complete and utter bollox. You know it, I know it and others know it too. However, don't let that get in the way of your rampage.

Anyway, I've already wasted too much time on this so I'll leave you to moan about it. Have fun <ok>

I suggest you all have a cocktail and lighten up. 1 thread being moved is hardly worth getting your pretty pink knickers in a twist about.

Man up and just enjoy yourself.
