which just shows how dull the summer was.....................


sometimes, just on occasion a ot thread goes somewhere utterly unexpected and interesting.

Like i think gerrez's fish tank one which ended up with masses of pics of peoples fish and aqauriums and all sorts which i found quite good.

an d others end up like the cheese which make us all feel fortunate we don't have to go there...

To RHC, simply and sincerely: You my friend are the worst poster on this board. Endless inanity, endless derail, endless farting of emoticons. Very little football brain or input, except for the recurring lie that your friend is texting you the latest transfer to-be. The rare time you divert from delivering inane one-liners is when you sit down to describe your inane life in moldy detail. There is no one here, no one, who lacks as much respect for the board as you do. And certainly not I.

How the rest don't get it and are not fed up by it, it's a mystery. Maybe you're the shepherd...

That did go well despite not being how I intended. I was asking a question about buying tank lids and it ended up with a discussion about keeping fish. If I recall, it was mainly Sisu, Milk and myself :huh:

That's not any real surprise. Why don't you ask each one individually and get their views on the matter? That would be a democratic approach. Do they not have a french-Canadian LFC forum, or is it a little quiet on there?

Not attacking you or the cheese lad, I was posting on there earlier FFS <doh><laugh>. It was a hypothetical comment given the context that this thread is proposing - i.e. that all OT threads would be self-indulgences if the board became a pure football board and therefore all posts had to be about LFC in some respect, as some have proposed here. You'll note I didn't leave myself out of that. It was also to do with the unjustified removal of certain threads/posts, I can remember going off on one over the removal of the 'Halal meat' thread months ago. The problem is selectivity; either ban OT completely or leave the place open to anything (obviously not hate speech, racism, Tobes and so on). Anything else just looks like favouritism. That Gaza thread was culturally sensitive and I understand the problems the mods had around its religious and political nature, so can see why it's no longer there, but I do think that discussions like that should be possible here if posters want them. Perhaps the problem with the thread wasn't necessarily the content rather Sisu's attitude and resolute, unflinching line of argument - which he is entitled to have - but which he should also realise will for sure rub others up the wrong way. I won't get into that anymore as it risks dragging us all back into it. Generally no problems from me with OT threads, other than it means that there's not mushroom, but I think the mods need to act with more clarity. If a thread is going or is being edited then at least provide the reasons or an explanation when/after pressing the big red button.

That's completely out of order Liv. You're entitled to your opinion like everyone else but if it wasn't for RHC, Gerrez, Hash, Sky, mito ..... too many to list .... you wouldn't have the platform to air that opinion, as the board would have long since collapsed. They have kept the thing running with all the on and off topic stuff, which is why and how it still exists today.

I like that you have a unique approach to the board - I have a tendency to like people who don't toe the line - but you don't even use the site enough to come out with something like that.
