We can guess like everyone. Personally i think he tried to change the lane very fast (and drive forward in empty lane very fast) but he failed to turn the wheel in right moment. After that he got mentally stuck due his fear about the car (at first) and tired condition...after that it was too late. Overall it's too stupid situation to be intentional act of terrorism... That guy should be jailed - no questions. He's unlucky greedy fool and that's all. IMHO.
Kalinic sent home by Croatia. Said his back was sore when asked to come on as a sub in 86th minute. Lot of pansies about this World Cup, feigning 'injury' etc.
It's just the state of the game, particularly outside of England. As for Kalinic, surely there must be more to it? Maybe he was obviously lying or something? Surely if he really was reporting a genuine injury then he'd be doing the right thing.
Re state of game, you're right. It sets a worrying 'trend' for England / Premier League though. And as for Kalinic guess it will be 6 of one half a dozen of the other.
Got to share this. Comment from my mum during Iran v Spain tonight. Mum: Is IRN Ireland? Me: No it's Iran Mum: Oh, They're all foreign teams in this...
I know Iran are trying to defend & could actually go on to beat Spain, but this World Cup has had some absolute awful games & this one is no better. I can't believe how some of these so called "big teams" are so poor!
Reminds me of the Danny Blanchflower classic as the teams came out when Leeds played Standard Liege years ago. " And here come Standard Liege, most of whose names are foreign to ne."
I think a 48 team format will be so stupid that it'll really ruin the competition, but I don't think the quality of the teams in it will be a problem. As we've seen, most of the lesser sides are holding their own. And there's strong teams at home like Wales, Northern Ireland, Italy, Netherlands.
I doubt that Europe will get 4 of the 12 extra slots though. It’ll be the next best from Asia and Africa, not just Europe.
I'm too young to remember '78, but the documentary last night on Scotland's WC of 78 was quality. Crazy to think how convinced they seemed that they'd actually go there and win it. I do miss the comedy and entertainment value of Scotland at a World Cup, be good to have them back.
